DePaul losing to UIC finally bursts my bubble of a BE 80% winning pct.  OOC
I think BE teams have to win every game left to go over 80% non-conference.

it doesn't matter but was a nice thought. I think the ACC, even with as many teams as they have will go over 80%.

I know many here think the BE is the best...we may prove it in the tourney...but I think the ACC is better top-2-bottom as they say.

Big opportunities for the conference today (Saturday, December 17th):

Georgetown @ Syracuse
Butler @ Indiana
Wake Forest @ Xavier
Chicago State @ DePaul

You kid but Chicago State may beat them. They gave Northwestern a run for their money the other day.

And barely lost at SLU. Not sure if DePaul is better than the Bills this year.

Wouldn't be at all shocked if they lost, but it's too sad a state of affairs to take seriously.

GT just won over SYR....kept their composure....wont be easy next week.

Good to see BE win though.

Syracuse isn't very good.

Wins:  Colgate, Holy Cross, Monmouth, South Carolina State, North Florida, Boston U.

Crushed by South Carolina and UW.  Close losses to UConn and Georgetown.

Big game today and plan to watch is Butler/Indiana...Quality Indiana matchup. Also Xavier v Wake Forest. If we can with these two...will be a nice day for the BE.
Want to win these ACC B10 matchups for conference creds.  ACC tough this year.

Road wins over power 5 teams are road wins, especially in front of 20K plus.

Big East RPI helped, added bonus of IU going down.    Win win.

Creighton struggling with 2-9 Oral Roberts, trailing 65-60 at home with 5 to play.

There's Villanova and then there's about 8 BE teams that can all beat up on each other. Some nights Xavier looks solid and some they look horrible. Some nights Creighton looks like a top 5 teams and others like an NIT team. Some nights Seton Hall looks like a team building on an NCAA Tournament team and some nights they look like a standard Willard team. Etc.

Every night is going to be a battle.

Probably true.  But I think teams like Marquette, Georgetown, Seton Hall, and maybe even Providence all have the ability to beat teams like Creighton, Butler, and Xavier if they catch them on the right night (aka are playing well and those teams are playing poorly).  St. John's and DePaul not so much.

.....if they catch them on the right night....

Totally agree with this...even if our record isn't stellar going into Feb. still in the hunt. Reason to get down to the BC on those cold nights. Potentially a good year.
