Death on call

LAZER

Butler -1.5 heading into the game, Arizona struggled the night before with Santa Clara. I don't know much about Arizona, but that ranking might be inflated right now.

Hopefully Dano didn't make it to Vegas!

Thank god I don't bet unless I am in Vegas.  I would have lost money on that one.

Well done Butler.

TAMU, Knower of Ball

Arizona has superior size, talent, but ZERO basketball IQ. They tried to out-athlete Butler every time down the court. Butler got intimidated for a little bit, settled down, and just played smarter. Very well coached team.

I do know, Newsie is right on you knowing ball.

Big East now 40-13.

Big East Number 1 RPI

Big East number one strength of schedule.

Beat Michigan State to open the season in Hawaii.

Not exactly the best looking win at the moment.

When that committee looks at it in March, I'm willing to bet it will be. That being said Vegas knew something as Butler was a 1.5 point favorite.

A lot of Scoopers were against Butler joining the BEast. Frankly, they have proven to be a great get for the conference.

They have transitioned from Stevens very nicely, with a medical casualty thrown into the process.

Must be nice...

Kinda tough to transition from Buzz nicely when he left us a dumpster fire to begin with.

Staying within the philosophy of the program helps too.

Were that Georgetown could help those numbers. Instead, the Hoyas and Redmen account for eight of the 13 losses.

Marquette is not exactly killing it either.  Only two loses but other than Vanderbilt no quality wins.

BTW,  RPI as of right now (not conference, country):

1. Xavier
2. Creighton
3. Nova
