Best band to come out of Los Angeles ever, in my opinion.  Beach Boys, Van Halen, Metalica, Gun's n Roses, Doors are all up there from So. Cal, but hard to argue with the Eagles staying power.

Especially since none of the members - original or otherwise -  came from LA.

I did read that he died yesterday, as that is when the articles came out.  Did not realize he died a year earlier.  Not sure whom I would be trying to impress exactly.  I rarely use Twitter, certainly use Facebook.

I hated Hotel California until I watched a stripper do a performance to that song.  Totally changed my opinion.

The only time I have been to a strip club (er, one that featured women, that is) was in 1986 in St. Joseph, Mo.  The first "girl" on the stage was about 40 pounds overweight, had a huge cesarean scar across her belly, and appeared to be about 35 - and I am talking a rough Avery-family-type 35.  Oh, and she danced to the song, "Like a Virgin".

Never again.
