This wasn't about Burton not wanting to be in MKE. He's gone and is missed. I am not sure he could have played for Wojo. I hope he flourishes in Ames but we could use him today.

Am i over remembering the impact of Mom dying in the summer before his transfer?

I too hope he crushes it in Ames.  Seems like a good kid and fun to watch on offense.
