What are the hopes for the exhibition game?
« on: November 08, 2015, 08:13:31 PM »
1.   No injuries.
2.  Minutes at point guard.
3.  Line-ups when Henry is not in the line up.
4.   Rotations at the 3.
5.  It will be nice to finally see Cheatham on the floor.
6.    Man?   Zone?   Pressure?
7.  NO INJURIES!
Luke 6:45   ...A good man produces goodness from the good in his heart; an evil man produces evil out of his store of evil.   Each man speaks from his heart's abundance...

It is better to be fearless and cheerful than cheerless and fearful.

Other than tempering fan expectations, as long as there are no injuries, it would have absolutely no impact on MU's season.

How about the effect it would have on team morale and confidence?
Have some patience, FFS.

None.   They would be very coachable and determined.

Beat me to it.

I'd like to see some floor slaps, however.

TWC says they are going to be streaming online

https://www.twcsportschannel.com/wi/milwaukee.html

I assume you have to be a TW subscriber to get this? What are the chances someone's friend of a distant relative will make it available to the masses?

Sound play from the 1 and 3 positions, which at this point are our weak links.

Not pulling a St. John's?  Are you kidding me?  Wally and HE would hear about it every Thanksgiving for the rest of their lives.  Simply not happening.

This is necessary.  Just change the PW to something generic, and change it back afterwards!
I would take the Rick SLU program right now.

I'm not "worried" about that so much as I'd be worried about general public perception of a loss in exhibition and the impact it would have on future single game ticket purchases.

I put worried in quotes cause there ain't no way this team loses this game

Really need someone to come up with a stream... I'm not at all confident this TWC thing will work.

I'm excited to see them play.  More than anything else this will allow us to put last season behind us.  I'm focused on point guard play.  If we can get high major play at the #1 (from Traci or whoever is out there) we know we have the SG, PF and Center covered and with all that you can do just fine with just about any 3rd guard, small forward.  Not sure this team will be enough competition to reveal much about point guard play.  But the ceiling for MU this year is all going to be determined by how solid we are at the most important position in college basketball the #1.

No injuries and a nice family reunion for the Ellensons. Outside that, I'm far more interested in Friday than tonight.
