Mrs. Sultan is from West Allis.  Everything that map says about West Allis is 100% accurate.

Man, whoever did this nailed it.

"Moustache Heights"  MKE cops and firefighters live here (20th and Ramsey/Grange/Edgerton-ish area)

Subtle and spot on.

I assume that section on the SW side is supposed to say "Drunken church festival *quarters*"

Interestingly enough, Glow's dad used to run the grandpappy of all of those festivals, St. Greg's at 60th and Oklahoma.  It was the only church festival that featured the Rupena's rotisserie chicken that is featured at the State Fair.  Nice perk of having Mr. Rupena as a parishioner.
Have some patience, FFS.

Even as early as the 1970s Fall Festival cleared mod 6 figures for the Labor Day run.  That's cleared.  Unbelievable.  Greg's literally bought MacArthur grade school once it closed so the festival could be expanded.

You can't wave a dead cat in West Allis without hitting a Rupena or someone related to the family.  That store is a little jewel.

Why are people waving dead cats? I think you need to move to a new neighborhood.

Wonderful family.  The web site suggests that John is still somewhat active in the business.  He was a friend and contemporary of my dad so he must be well into his 80s.  I remember my parents sending me up to the store for deli supplies as a teen.  If John was working he'd personally go behind the counter and dish up whatever I was sent to get.  He'd weigh/price the container and then add an extra slice/scoop exclaiming 'Say Hi to your mom and dad for me!'

We live close by and buy all of our meats at either Rupenas (try their Al Capone roasts!) or Rays on Loomis Rd.
