Speaking of favorite schadenfreude moment......    More likely, Bo cooled on him.

Good move. Potentially a top 15-20 pick. His stock will never be higher.

MUfan12

Good for him. Never understood why he got the crap he did from UW fans.

GGGG

Like his game.  Rooting for him.

tower912

I will like his game more now that he isn't playing it at UW.

Does that mean Dekker was a "rent-a-player?"

Have some patience, FFS.

Good move on his part, don't risk injury or a slump. His stock will never be higher. Let's see if he can develop his jumpshot like Jimmy did in the pros.

On a side note, three years in Madison, college major: undecided. I thought they all got engineering degrees under Bo?

Not really.

He has been projected all along as a pick in the 15-25 range. He probably just assured himself to be near the top end of that range.

Blackhat

Dekker looks like he's tweeking on greenies in that pic.

Has Hayes said what he doing next year?

Immediately after the game he insinuated that he was returning.

He makes a lot more earlier now, that cannot be disputed.  He gets a big raise from the exploitation of the NCAA tournament.

He will make less than $1 million more over the course of his NBA career now than he would've had he not had his NCAA Tournament performance.  Will the extra, say, $750,000.00 be nice?  Of course.  But that is a small percentage compared to what he will make over the course of his entire career.

He's makes Ners' obsession with Derrick Wilson seem normal.

I think you greatly miss the bigger point.  If he is a bust, then that money is big.  There is no guarantee you get a second contract.  The jump he makes alone in the first round is worth is beyond the $750K based on this page.  I had seen him at around 20th to 24th in February, now at 12th to 15th.   If you take the extremes of being picked 24th orginally vs 12th, that's about $2.3M over 3 years difference.  That's substantial coin.

I was looking more between 15 (around where I think he goes now) to 25 (where I thought he was going to go before the NCAA Tournament performance).  I guess I didn't realize that those 2 spots still make over $1 million difference in their first 2 years.  Whose option is the 3rd year?  Player?  Team?  Mutual?

I guess I just don't see Dekker not getting a second contract in the NBA, obviously assuming no injury or anything of that sort.
