Problem is that too many people let hatred and emotions creep in with their analysis of UW, Crean, etc....it clouds their judgment.  Plenty of examples here.

Wow is this the pot calling the kettle black.

Chicos, the paragon of unemotional objective analysis on Tom Crean.

Good for you, what's the stock market going to do Monday Nostradamus?

Couldn't tell you...I can tell you that you're more wrong than right with your predictions and don't really know as much about the game as you think. Maybe you should just focus on creating attention grabbing thread titles and try to build your views up instead of making predictions.

How much should they have lost by if they had a bad night? (again, they did not have a bad night ... I sense you're having a reading comprehensions problem)

When's the last time they had a bad night? And don't say Rutgers. Extenuating circumstances, chief. No reading comprehension issues, sweetheart. Wasn't a fluke.

Actually, I try very hard to be factual.  I can't stand the guy personally for a number of reasons, including a bit of a dustup we had, but I don't let that get in the way of objective facts.

I'm sure I stray from time to time...but with so many flat out inaccuracies here that are easily proven with facts, I don't really need to.  The facts are what the facts are.

They never had a bad night because every loss has "Extenuating circumstances," correct.

Dumb comment.

They don't beat themselves often, but they should have lost to Michigan State, did lose to Maryland and to Duke.  Big Ten was average this year.  Duke will be a load for them.  Should be a fun game.

Dumb comment was you saying they'd lose by thirty in any circumstance. You don't watch basketball if you can legitimately convince yourself of that

Are we honestly arguing about how much Bucky would have lost by if they had a bad night when they did not and pulled off a big upset?

We have a winner for the dumbest criticism of the night.

Badgers are a fantastic team this year, as they were last.  I like Kaminsky, Dekker- really their whole squad.  Bo deserves a shot at the title.  Tremendous coach.  I don't get hung up on the rivalry.  Great team that deserves props, especially after the W this evening.

SWARM!

Keep telling yourself it was a big upset. Again, watch college basketball.

This is my board, bro. Spoke nothing but truth. Don't be stupid.

Big win for Bucky. Nothing but respect for what they pulled off tonite.

BM1090

Think Duke will win. They can spread the floor around Okafor which Kentucky couldn't do around Towns. Duke is a better 3p shooting team than Wisconsin. Better guards. Kaminsky could abuse Okafor though.

I can't do it. I just can't be happy for them. Watching them here makes me sick. Watching a program where 99.998% of their fans don't know the team exists until the last weekend in March yet they insist they are die-hard and I should be too. And the other 6 fans, the ones that know the season starts in November, they're all Marquette hating douchebags.

It galls me how they backed into this. And I know...hard work, four year players, blah blah blah, but no. They backed into this. 20 years ago they scarcely had a basketball team. They aren't a basketball school. They'll never be a basketball school. Bo found a bunch of second rate recruits (amazingly, I might add) and turned them into a national contender.

This whole thing pisses me off. It may not seem fair or rational, but it's reality. I'll never cheer for them and I'll damn sure never be happy or congratulatory for their success. I can acknowledge they are good, very good, but that's it. Beyond that I would rather everyone wearing Badger Red spontaneously combust than reading about them winning a national championship in basketball.

GGGG

They didn't back into anything.  They won their conference and their conference tournament.  They have beaten the highest seeds possible to get there.  20 years is a long time.

I didn't say that as a debatable point. That's how I feel about them. 20 years isn't that long a time.

I think your string of comments about "if the Badgers had a bad night, they willows by 30" is beyond ridiculous.  Of course!! If anyone has a bad night against Kentucky they could lose by 30. Ask West Virginia! I also think it's ridiculous that you would think this badger team could have that bad a night that they could actually lose by 30. Too disciplined.  Quite a ridiculous comment/"prediction".  Sounds like a more hopeful prediction than an actual prediction based on college basketball knowledge.

I Bleed MU Basketball. But, GO BADGERS! Bo Knows! Hopefully for 1 more game.

ecompt

The Badgers won because they were there to play basketball as a team and were playing a team preparing to make millions in the NBA. The college game is 3-point shooting, free throws and not turning ball over and UW is among the best in the world in all three. They didn't have to play a Villanova-final type of game to beat UK. It was a small upset but not much of one.
