Been quiet on the recruiting front for '15/'16.....especially considering the number of available scholarships.  Briefly looked through espn's top60 for '16 and didn't see a single MU mention (on a side note found it quite entertaining the Sean Miller has offered just about every kid in the top60).  Anyone else think Wojo has lost his early recruiting momentum?

No.

Not at all.  Expect a lot of news after the season ends, and throughout the summer.

MU not listed with any on that list is purely due to limited/bad/outdated information. MU (Wojo era) has offered multiple kids in that list.

Have no fear, Wojo has been mentioned with the following in the ESPN 60:

#3 Josh Jackson, SF out of the Detroit Area
#5 Kobi Simmons, PG out of the Atlanta Area
#7 Miles Bridges, SF out of the Detroit Area
#25 Amir Coffey, SF out of the Twin Cities (Been multiple times)
#32 Cassius Winston, PG out of Detroit Jesuit

He has also been in on the following 2015 players:
Sacar Amin
Traci Carter
Davon Dillard
Ricky Council
Maurice O'Field (JUCO)
Brandon Brown (JUCO)
Deshawn Freeman (JUCO)
Ty Outlaw (JUCO)

There are probably a few others that I am missing.

Appreciate the update.  PG HAS to be a priority!

It's early, but I like our chances with Amir Coffey.

Traci carter posted final 3 today. No MU. UCONN,  Louisville and Tennessee

Oddly, I saw that but it's not actually Carter's Twitter account. He could go with a final three, it could even be those three, but that looks like a fake account. No one of repute retweeting it is another good indicator that it's fake.

FWIW Carter's Twitter handle is @tra_carter and the "final 3" tweet came from @tra_carter11.

BM1090

It was actually posted on instagram, not Twitter....but looks like it is a fake account. Unless he only has 41 followers,  which I doubt.

Odd to say the least. Who would make a fake account of a HS player

We R Final Four

45 for Henry today, 29 for Cheatham.  I know HS isn't college, but the two nearly outscored Marquette.

We'll be fine.

Agree with you on both Rocky. But I remember JJJ putting up big numbers in HS, including in his state tourney. And look at the heat he is getting this year on this board. I guess it is all relative.
I thought you were dead. Willie lives rent free in Reekers mind. Rick Pitino: "You can either complain or adapt."

Adam Zagoria confirmed that the Traci Carter list is a fake. He hasn't trimmed his list yet.

Any rebounding/phycial forwards on the radar?  Does Freeman fit that category?  Are we pursuing him hard?

Thanks.

Silenzio. Parla il moomoo.

Really? Arizona & MSU already offered. His dad played for the home state Gophers. UNC & UCLA still recruiting him after the torn ACL. And you think he's coming to Marquette...

Freeman fits that description more than the other Jucos.  MU went to visit him in the fall, but don't seem to be on him that much right now.  Ty Outlaw is a 6'6" forward, but I don't think he has the reputation as a physical, rebounding type.

That's not what he said.  He said "he likes our chances."  Mostly my guess due to him being good friends (and AAU teammates) with Sacar.

Miles Bridges gets listed as a SF and that's fine to call him, but he's a big dude... girthy (pause) but athletic. Can rebound well for his height and use his body inside and out (pause).

Zagoria says Traci Carter will trim his list to 5 sometime this week, so stay tuned. Unfortunately, no Marquette mention in the article.
Here the article:
Burlington (N.J.) Life Center point guard Traci Carter is college eligible and will soon cut his list to five schools.

"Traci passed his ACT and is officially qualified," Donnie Carr, Carter's mentor, told SNY.tv. He's on a class trip and doesn't get back until next Monday. Sometime next week were going cut his list to five schools."

The 6-foot-1 Carter has seen his stock rise dramatically this winter with his strong play and is being courted by UConn, N.C. State, Xavier,  Seton Hall, Creighton, George Mason, La Salle, Temple and others.

Earl Tatum

Isn't Traci Carter being recruited by MU? Don't forget Sam Hauser (2016)

Freeman would, though we haven't been mentioned with him in awhile. Surprised we haven't been after more bigs, the staff definitely seems focused on point guards and wings.

I think we have a shot. He said recently that Marquette was one of the three schools most aggressively pursuing him, and he's also tight with Sacar Anim.
