Except they are actually doing something on the floor to merit the praise.  That's the difference.

Though I will say we looked pretty bad with Duane running the point for the last minute - between the bad inbounds pass.  But then Steve Taylor throws the ball away out of a double team in the post that causes Duane to go scrambling after it.

Anyone that has observed these two players body of work knows that the gap in their levels of contribution (if any) is minimal. Certainly not enough of one that anyone would perceive it as "quitting."

You don't think the players would notice if their senior leader was relegated to the bench?  I guarantee Juan is one of the best practice players.  What message does it send when you practice harder than everyone, yet see your minutes reduced when you're a senior?  Might be tough to recruit, retain and develop players at a program like that.

I want you to understand that Bluiett and Macura are two incredibly gifted offensive freshmen. Have logged many hours in gyms watching both of them - Bluiett not Mr. athleticism, but flat out scores. So gifted.  

I think the line reflects the fact that Xavier is excellent offensively and can create big gaps in a score quickly.

Nah. Top talent/potential should get the most minutes no matter what. Otherwise you get transfers.

It is amazing that we have assembled two of the worst 3-point shooters in college basketball on the same team. At least Derrick knows not to shoot. JuJuan has to try one every now and then due to Carlino being out, but he is as bad as they get.
