IWB's Board
« on: October 09, 2014, 10:03:26 PM »
With all the excitement today's news gave me, I just went and checked out IWB's board. The Henry Ellenson thread from today's news had 3 posts total! That board is like a ghost town. After the big upheaval during last year, it seemed like a lot of posters were jumping ship and heading over there. Seems like most eventually returned to the best MU fan site on the web...or they don't post anywhere anymore. Did #donedeal ruin his website?

I've heard before that most of the action over there is on his premium board.

So people actually pay to read other people like us spout off gratuitous conjecture, groundless supposition, idle gossip, and wild speculation? PT Barnum made a good living off of fools...

Think country clubs and gated communities.

Actually there is a lot of good information and discussion on the premium board.  Both IWB and Mark Miller have proven to have damn good stuff.  It can get a little "group-thinky" but for $7 a month?  Worth it.

What's the Dodds Insider board like these days?  And is he still calling Aaron Rodgers, Randy?

Are you getting any actual "premium" information before it becomes public knowledge or is it more a case of the seven dollars a month prevents the likes of Ners from joining the discussion?

You are getting information.  Not as much on recruits as previously under Buzz, but part of that is establishing relationships with the new coaching staff.  But there is other stuff about the basketball program and the university that is shared on there.

I'm certain Dodds would generate a lot more revenue for his premium board if he wouldn't be such a prick to those on the free board who are enlightened, think outside the box, or don't follow in lockstep, hey?

This.  All you're getting behind the paywall is MU Basketball porn.  And like all porn, there's enough of it out there for free to keep us on top of things for decades to come.
Wow, I'm very concerned for Benny.  Being able to mimic Myron Medcalf's writing so closely implies an oncoming case of dementia.

Yeah that's not a bad analogy.

The information during the coaching search was pretty good and Mark Miller posts a lot more over there. I believe the Bullseye Bros are there as well.

It's a much cleaner read that reading through the Ners/Lenny pissing matches, Jamie's self-gratification and keefe's ramblings.

To each their own, but I love the eclectic nature of this board....I could do without some of the threadjacks and pissing matches, but I will definitely take them over censorship from Done Deal.

don't think there ever is censorship on the premium board and really no need for it either...

Yeah if there has been any thread locks over there, it must only be one or two.  And I don't recall many, if any, deleted posts either.

There is good amount of people who post on the pay board. Even if it's nothing important, people still post or start a topic on the pay board. I guess it easy for some to read the post that way.  :-\

Dodd's football board is great for

1)  The inane posts of Murffius...

2)  Dodd's overhype of Packers free agent talent ("NFL scouts circling like vultures during presason" for the past 4 years but not single Packer cut ever signed by another team) or counting Johnny Jolly, Pickett, Donald Driver and Ahmad Green as the Packers 54th, 55th, 56th and 57th roster spots...

3)  Dodd's re-adjusting his 2021 mock draft board cause a hummingbird flapped it's wings in Australia...

I'm certain Dodds would generate a lot more revenue for his premium board if he wouldn't be such a prick to those on the free board who are enlightened, think outside the box, or don't follow in lockstep, hey?

Oh, really....just some?
