That's too bad.  There's always one, however, that seems to leave before the seasons starts.  Wish him well on his future.

I wouldn't my hopes up (yet) with regards to writing on the wall for Ellenson.  It was most definitely a situation where he probably saw who would be ahead of him with regards to playing time, and knew he wasn't getting the opportunity he wanted.

Hope this signals Taylor looking great.  With Heldt and Fischer no need for Taylor to play the 5.  If he saw Taylor looking like a bonafide starter someone at the 4 was going to be unhappy...

Very strange. But as others have said, he must not have liked his prospects of getting much PT next year.

Someone on here said he was one of the better players on the team a few short weeks ago.
I would take the Rick SLU program right now.

Heard that too. Maybe he didn't like the cold weather?

Well, McKay left in part because he couldn't beat out Taylor. Hope this works out better.

Well that's unfortunate. Everything I had heard indicated that he was going to be pretty good.

I wouldn't think this indicates anything about Henry. The possibility of Henry may have been a factor, but I doubt Gabe has anymore knowledge than we do about the possibility of an Ellenson commit.

Best of luck wherever he goes. Hope he finds a place that feels like home.

On the bright side, this opens up another schollie. Maybe a Cameron Beidschied? Or maybe we can bring in more than one kid in 2016. Wojo is in on some good ones.

Would rather him go for a 2016 kid. No thanks on Beidschied. Strikes me as kind of a punk, and his dad is a bit much.

Don't you think he would have evaluated these possibilities before coming.  For God's sake he committed just a couple of months ago.  Not that much has changed.

It just occurred to me that Steve Taylor was the result of not one, but two players leaving the program because they couldn't overtake him for playing time (McKay last year, Levin this year).

I'm not even mad... that's just impressive.

Well, McKay left in part because
he thought Taylor had an unfair advantage with Buzz and because he didn't care for Buzz.
McKay is going to end up being an all-Big 12 player next year IMO. He can't play until second semester like Fischer, but everything I am hearing is that he is a flat out beast. I saw it for my own eyes a few months after he transferred. One former player recently told me that he thinks McKay will eventually be a pro. It wouldn't surprise me. He could have really helped us this year.

So...he chose to commit to play for a coach he didn't like?

Not to mention last year.

Is this because he found out Levin & Schwartz couldn't happen?

Maybe Levin saw that Wally had a better shot at winning the dunk contest?

Many people marry a person they eventually do not like. As chicos knows, a figure closer to 50% than 30% of US marriages end in divorce.
Thanks for ruining summer, Canada.

I guess for Gabe, Shalom literally meant hello AND goodbye!

Later, dude. Go enjoy another low-major program where you can actually play. We'll get somebody better.

This will be my last comment about this young fella. I care only about the players who are here now and will be arriving soon.

I was fine with booting Mayo, even happy as it showed Wojo will only give so much before you're gone. With Levin, this doesn't smell right. Mistake was made, now we build the narrative of whose mistake it was.
