Seriously, nice post.

Which team were you a student manager on?

I was a manager for most of the season my frosh year, which was the DJO/Jae team that lost to Florida in the Sweet 16.

Admittedly there was some great information about shoes in it.

That's super!!
Put it in Superbar or wherever non-basketball topics belong.

I was hoping I didn't have to use teal there. Apparently I was wrong
Assume what I say should be in teal if it doesn't pass the smell test for you.

Is your friend your year as well? If so I know who it is!

I guess that sometimes the obvious isn't so obvious to all.

You actually have a degree from Marquette?

Quote from: muguru
No...and after reading many many psosts from people on this board that do...I have to say I'm MUCH better off, if this is the type of "intelligence" a degree from MU gets you. It sure is on full display I will say that.

Quote from: oneposteagle on August 31, 2014, 02:58:37 PM(Honestly, super refreshing to hear that because I was a student manager my freshman year under Buzz and that wasn't an impression any recruit would be under. Wojo has gone above and beyond to make every person in the program feel valuable. An actual quote from the guy who now works for Wojo as a manger: "I actually enjoy coming into work now. Wojo has changed pretty much everything")

This feeling is not reserved only for the managers, it is universal over there.  Not many people sad to see Bert and his act go bye bye (nor were they sad to see the previous guy go, either).  I said that a few months ago when he left, as there was a giant collective sigh and internal celebration.  More happy to hear you confirm about Wojo, as that has also been consistent with what I have heard.  Hopefully that continues.  It's easy to be that way before your first season, the stress can change people.

I agree with everything you write here, but it is also important to remember that treating everyone nice doesn't correlate with winning.  I have worked with a couple very successful coaches who are attention-seeking, needy, and drive everyone crazy.  No doubt if they left a lot of people would be relieved on some level.  But if the successor doesn't win, everyone would want those guys back.

I have also worked with coaches who are both.  Hopefully Wojo can be one of those guys.

Could be one of the great MU players ever - never misses a shot and can dunk the ball ;D

But..... the tape does show good shooting form and a quick 1st step.

Only goes left though. That's my concern. Needs to learn to finish with his right.

Good frame, too. Todd Smith can do some work with him.

Not to just be a contrarian, but there were several instances in that video where he finished with his right hand.  And had great ballhandling coming out of a spin move with his right hand.  Were there tons of right hand finishes, certainly not, but how many times do you expect to see a right handed player finish with his left hand in a mix-tape...

kmwtrucks

There were 4 out 5 times he went baseline going to his right.

If you watch this video and then listen to the interview(posted in other thread) it gives a very clear indication that this young man knows exactly what he is doing on the floor. He would be a very good recruit for us.  Would be nice to get one that Georgetown wants.

Would like Jay bee's take on this.

I see no way we are #2 if we get cheatum and Ellenson. Probably top 5, but we won't beat Arizona, Louisville, or Duke. And we all know Kentucky always get their players.
