I have a pair of topsiders and wear them often. I'm also a fan of anything Clarks. I have multiple pairs of Clarks boat shoes as well as dress shoes (wearing a pair right now).
Bring back FFP!!!

I've got 5 different topsiders, always looking for more.

I've gone through 4 pairs of the baby blue/dark blue pairs now.

you are soooo preppy!  Please don't tell me that you're wearing them with plaid bermuda shorts and a golf shirt with an alligator on it, please, please! LOL!

And people think women spend to much time talking about shoes :-\

If it wasn't an ncaa violation,  I'd say we need to get Haanif some Sperry kicks
Assume what I say should be in teal if it doesn't pass the smell test for you.

Allen Edmonds makes a great shoe. Period. Back in my suit and tie period I kept 10 pairs of work shoes - 8 Allen Edmonds and 2 Church's. I let each pair breathe for two weeks before wearing them again. This was essential for living in the tropics and humid locales like Tokyo and Hong Kong.

But for boating, there was always just Sperry. In Brown. None of this two-tone 867 5309 nonsense. Brown Top-Siders. And being Scottish I wore no socks.

Crash, that's a very esoteric reference (Jenny) even for you!  As for topsiders, I'm wearing my ivory's today in the traditional way.

All my "dress shoes" are AE, purchased from the factory store in Port Washington.  Oldest pair is 23 years old, fully refurbished twice.  I prefer not to wear dress shoes, but when I do...

Izod Lacoste split up.  Lacoste got the alligator on the polo shirt.  Izod got just "IZOD" on the polo shirt.  When you can find it, Lacoste is also more expensive than IZOD.

Ralph Lauren Polo for me.  Plenty of L.L. Bean.  The new preppy out here includes recent upstart Vineyard Vines.

If I were Haanif Cheatham and saw this thread, I think I'd go elsewhere. Kidding, but wow did this get off track?!

hoyasincebirth

This is preppier than any thread I've read on Hoyatalk and that's saying something based on our respective student bodies.

Awful.

Could we please talk about our favorite hairdressers for a while?

How do you all style your hair for work? Leisure? Play? When you have a sweater tied around your neck?

I haven't had hair since the mid-90s and haven't had a full-time job since 2009, so this is one conversation I can't be part of.

I resent this blatant crusade against the follically challenged.

We would go 2 weeks at a time without bathing and there are these nasty chiggers and ticks in A Stan so guys on the teams took to shaving every hair save for facial growth. I remember when I came back from a deployment that my wife was horrified that I was so completely clean shaven everywhere but my face.

Something like, "Jenny's not home, please leave a message at the beep"?  Will try it later.
