Well I think IWB should probably shut his site down now and give all of his paid subscribers a refund for the month.

Why would any sane person pay the subscription fee for that site...

Weird that he would call Marquette while Doc and the new Prez were flying home. Almost like that never happened. Odd.

Not sure. Guy's obviously only looking out for himself. Wouldn't trust him in the future.

How is he only looking out for himself? He has turned down some of the most prestigious jobs in the country year after year, not to mention millions and millions of dollars.

He continues to stay at a mid-major and successfully build his own program. He's what Buzz maybe could have been had he stayed.

Face it, Marquette fans. You are not good enough.  Shaka will leave one day, but it will be for Syracuse, UNC, Kentucky, or Duke.  He's not going to a has-been program like Marquette that can't even keep a school like Virginia Tech from poaching their coach.

You're right. Shaka is a good coach.

You don't deserve him and can't keep him. So prepare for HAVOC throughout your program after he leaves.

Keep winning the Sun Belt with pride.

Aren't VCU fans the best?  Having dealt with them during the time when the Big East was deciding who to expand with, they were some of the most arrogant, pompous, A-holes around.....just as bad as Wichita State fans, maybe it's a state school thing?

Say it with me now: Tonight's attendance at a typical A-10 game: 3,111.

I can understand where they're coming from. We're kinda the same way, aren't we? Never get respect, always second to UW...

Except we have a national title, a 2003 FF, and two Sweet 16s & an Elite 8 consecutive. And they're ALWAYS going to be third behind UVA and VT. I'd have an enormous chip on my shoulder if I were a VCU alumnus, too, unfounded as it may be.

Bummed but we all saw this coming from Monday night on.  The guy weighed his options and is gonna hold out for one of the blue bloods to open up.  Props to Shaka, can't fault him in the slightest.  Get Howland in here ASAP and I'm over this news in a minute.  Safer bet going forward with a much more polished resume than Shaka.

Not when VCU comes to town.  We sell out stadiums.  I think it must be our rock star coach.  You should try and get one of those.  Oh wait, you can't. You're Marquette.  You can't even compete with Virginia Tech.

Making a blanket statement about a fanbase based off one troll on a message board during an unusual event.

Not really surprised by anything these days, I guess.
