Is the presser streamed? Audio/video?

No one seems to know, so I am guessing not, unfortuantely.

I would take the Rick SLU program right now.

Hire a new coach in the next 49 minutes.  Doable.

All they need to do is issue a statement.  A press conference with nothing to announce is not the best idea.....

People seem to keep thinking that Marquette doesn't have things that are important to talk about. Well, the women's basketball banquet isn't gonna entertain itself!
Assume what I say should be in teal if it doesn't pass the smell test for you.

Why do you guys care? What the hell is the difference? How does this hurt anything?

this is what will actually be said:

1) We gotta play 'em one day at a time.
2) I'm just happy to be here. Hope I can help the ballclub.
3) I just want to give it my best shot, and the good Lord willing, things will work out.

4) Our backs are against the wall

I really don't unless they have a major announcement. But it doesn't really help anything by saying what everyone already know. It's a waste of people's time in that regard. Moreso just disappointing if nothing is being finalized and raises more speculation as to who and what is going on.

Are you sure there could possible be anymore speculation than there already is?

Guess I meant to say it just keeps the speculation circulating.

Spotcheck Billy

did anyone let CBS58 know about the presser?

Not having a coach keeps the speculation circulating. Might as well have a nice talk about it. Plus, maybe they'll have refreshments.

Couldn't disagree more. My guess is these guys are getting more phone calls and requests for comment than they know what to do with...most of which I assume are going completely ignored. If anything it is being more respectful of everyone's time and effort to say a big. "no comment, we'll let you know as soon as something develops, but in the meantime, we will have nothing more to say until then." Let them ask some questions, provide some BS answers, etc.,and let everyone go on their way, making it clear the will be nothing talked about until there is something to talk about.

They're already there waiting for the Wardle announcement

source?

Hey, if you have the eyes of the state on you, you might as well use the opportunity to plug anything you want more awareness of.

My personal opinion is that I would just rather them issue a statement than have a press conference. They could accomplish just as much. Just personal preference. Maybe there is a big announcement. I doubt it. But you never know.

Pakuni

Remember, this is being billed as a "press availability," not "press conference."
Essentially, it'll be an informal event in which Cords will make himself available to take questions in one place at one time, instead of dealing with numerous phone calls throughout the day.

Necessary? Probably not.
Hiroshima? No.
Excuse for people to criticize the administration? Yes.

Cords is going to issue an opening statement, then plead the 5th amendment repeatedly.
