MU admin flying to Richmond today

IWB and Roy are recruiting experts so I assume their info is coming from relationships built with players and families who have been or currently recruited to MU.  Another possibility is Jerry W.  Long time Chicago guy and still roaming the halls of the Al.  Again, a guess but I do have a basis for the guess.  

National press most likely have different sources.  Coaches, AD's, SIDS, etc. Not sure if someone like goodman wold be connected w a recruit or family.  Different sources I assume.

Even if Goodman knew that these guys were in fact flying to Richmond, I don't think he's likely to report that type of stuff.

I love whenever there's big Marquette news. The same things always happen:

1. Tons of new posters flood the boards
2. Lurkers start posting
3. People that spend too much time on message boards start insulting people for having low post counts
4. Newbies band together once they get sick of being bullied
5. Fights break out in every thread

I don't necessarily think that Shaka is coming to Marquette.

But, just for argument's sake, I actually think that if hypothetically a coach was bailing for another university, letting their top assistant find their own new gig makes perfect sense. Easy for everyone to make a "clean break."

Rhoades wants his own gig.  He has been with SS since 2009 and prior to that was a head coach in DIII.  If anything I think this helps SS want to move on (i.e., a long-time assistant deciding to move on to do something different may confirm the appropriateness of such action).  Here is what Rhoade's is quoted as saying when he joined VCU back in 2009 "I had some opportunities over the years, but I just felt like it was the time and it was the place I wanted to be," Rhoades said. "At this point in my career, it was time to follow through in my career with something I wanted to do."  I assume he had the same feelings now and hope that they rubbed off a bit on SS.

Who knows that any of the staff are flying to VCU???  Let's get some solid facts and discussion here people !!  Rumor and conjecture gets old quickly.  What's really sad is the lack of thought that goes into many theories I have been reading on here.
