Curious .. what does MU get out of being a host?  I mean .. clearly, downtown, hotels, restaurants and the BC likely see revenue, so it's good for them .. but does MU get a cut or something?

I remember years ago, the games were played on the host team's court, so they got some pub as millions watched games with our logo on the hardwood .. but now the NCAA has the same court for all locations, so that perk is gone.

In any event .. I vote MU never hosts another NCAA round.   All it does is give UW a home game, and no chance MU gets seeded here.  And they get to stink up our locker room.   How is that not considered a crap sandwich?

(IIRC, we've hosted 3 times .. I can certainly recall UW getting seeded here twice .. was it all 3?)

This is the sixth time the BC has had the tourney- 1992, 1996, 1999, 2004, 2010. UW was here in 2004 as a six seed and lost to Pitt in the second round.

Anyhoo, I hope the mediocrity that the MU locker room housed this year can rub off on the Badgers.

MU will still have their logo on the court, but it will be a small square at the corner of the baseline.  As cool as the backstory is on standardized courts, it's a huge downer not seeing the actual personalized floors of the school.  This is what makes watching old NCAA highlights all that more interesting.  ie Tyus Edney going the length of the floor for the win on the Boise floor.  It all looks the same besides a small logo, and the city's name along the baseline.
