Rooting for you guys tomorrow, hopefully we see you on Friday!
Really?  We have sunk so low that you'd rather play us then DePaul or Xavier?
This is as strange to me as MU fans rooting for DePaul vs. Georgetown

If we beat X, what do you wager that CU beats us by a larger margin than either of our other two meetings this season?

I highly doubt that happens. I mean its gonna be a tough game to win but MU has much more to play for and the BET is a different animal. That and I will bet you any amount of money Davante puts up more shots then his last two games against Creighton combined.

Don't think we can play Depaul and then see them again on Friday

Good point! ;)
My point remains regarding Xavier.  Without Stainbrook you'd still rather play us?

So who is everyone picking today?  I've got Butler and G'Town moving on.

Nice...

Yes, no offense but I like the way we match up with you guys, its been agreed upon by a lot of people on here.

None taken. With as many open threes as MU allows, I'd want to play us too.

Well, that settles it, if something was agreed on here it has to be true!

I don't think GT was going to beat Creighton anyway... sure, a lot better shot than Depaul, but we all knew McBucketts was coming our way.
I remember everybody hoping and thinking that Bucknell had a good shot to take down Butler in the first round of the big dance last year.
Ric Flair visited us, I'm sure he told us to that to be the man you gotta beat the man.

I suspect there is a little something to the "tough to beat a team three times in a season" theory, but only if the teams are relatively evenly matched, like us and Georgetown.  If one team bludgeons another twice, I would suspect that a third beating is likely in the third matchup.

Regardless, if the Warriors take out Xavier tonight, then I would rather they play the Blue Birds, or whatever they are called. Why?

For two reasons ... one, I have come to fundamentally dislike them because they are, well, to be nice, a bunch of horse asses. Two, I still would like to see the Warriors get a least one big time scalp this season.

So, I say, f**k it Warriors, beat Xavier and bet your pride, tradition, toughness, character and, indeed, the entire season on beating the Blue Duck Bills, or whatever they call themselves. Take down low and just beat the living crap out of them.

Conference tourney time is my favorite time of the year.     MU needs to catch all of the breaks they have been missing.

They have been about 50/50 on breaks.  They have had as many close wins as close losses, but they have consistently shown they can't compete with the big guns.  All their games against Creighton and Villanova were decisive victories for the two aforementioned teams.

Exactly.

TAMU, Knower of Ball

Random what if situation. We beat Xavier and Depaul somehow beats Creighton. We beat Depaul only to find Seton Hall waiting for us in the championship.

I think we'd go from bottom third in KP's luck rating to number 1. I also think we end up with a 14 seed or lower, lol

I do know, Newsie is right on you knowing ball.

So, who do we all think is going to win today?  I'll say Nova, St. Johns, Creighton and Marquette.

I'd take that, while we are at it, pair it with the Committee violating their avoid rematches rule and pair us up against UW in round 1 to allow us to kick the snot out of them.

Windyplayer

Seton Hall up 9 with under 10 to play in the first half. Impressive start.

Big Papi

Its early but if Seton hall pulls the upset on Villanova, that double OT loss to St. Johns would sting a bit more.

real chili 83

Seton Hall now up by 13 with 6 Min left in first half

WadeJFB

I truly believe that if Buzz had unleashed the freshmen we would be in the NCAA tournament. Deonte has the skills and personality that could carry this team. Dawson is simply an upgrade from D. Wilson. JJJ couldve stretched the floor and provided much needed athletism. Bottom line is that we have D-1 talent but they were mostly on the bench.
