Buzz needs to have a chat with every recruit about twitter when they verbal to us. The Chief got a little testy tonight when some Badger fans started a rumor that he scored a 9 on the ACT.

I thought his response was pretty measured.  The only thing you could even question is calling the person a slut, But if someone is spreading Rumors I scored a 9 on the ACT, I think I might even use a stronger word.

Oh I agree and I don't think he should be punished in any way.  But as a public figure, calling someone a "slut" is really not helping things.  Especially when the the site that originated the rumor is basically a troll-account to begin with.

I think it's great and I hope Big Chief doesn't sit for anyone. She tried to insult his intelligence. He insulted her sexual prowess. Seems like a pretty normal teenage interaction that happens in every hallway of every school nearly every day in this country.

If anything, the college sophomore should be above crap like this but for someone from Wisconsin who goes to Eau Claire I'm guessing the maturation trajectory is behind the norm.

Yeah I understand that on one level.

But really outside of the short term satisfaction you get from that, what are you gaining calling some anonymous woman a slut?  You come off as over sensitive.  And you think her insulting your intelligence is bad?  What happens over the next four years when you have a bad game...or are suspended for some anonymous reason?

There is no upside...only downside.  He has to realize that.

Crazy to think that there are actually people who do worse than pure chance. 

"Ok, listen here, son.  Your ACT strategy is to sneak a die into the exam.  Roll it quietly on every question.  1 is A, 2 is B, etc.  Do not read the question or even attempt to think about the answer, otherwise you will screw up the plan and lower your score."

I know a girl who got into UW with an 18 on her ACT back in '05... not exactly a 9 but I'm pretty sure you get a 20 for writing your name correctly on the exam.....
