Glad it's official! :)

Another MUer in the NBA.

Looks like he needs an entry: http://www.basketball-reference.com/player_search.cgi?pid=&search=vander

;)

Given the Celtics injury problems, let's hope he plays every game and earns a second 10 day.  My recollection is that a player is limited to 2 ten day contract before a team needs to sign him for the rest of the year.

Raptors turned out to be a very poor match for Novak. I don't watch their games, so I don't know why this is the case, but he needs to go to a team that values his very unique (and extremely limited) skill set. It's silly to pay somebody so much to sit on the bench when there are teams he definitely could help.

I wish they had interest, because I think Houston could be very effective in using Novak. Smart team with good game planning and love to shoot the 3.

Plus he clearly works well with Lin.

What an incredibly slopping game from a ball handling standpoint.  Ugh.  Glad Vander made it and pray he sticks!  Go Vander!

Great job Van!!

So good for recruits--buzz' first high school recruit to make it--I believe.

Vander's interview skills have improved 1,000% since the last time I saw him on camera.  He obviously has been working very hard on that.
Have some patience, FFS.

He's not quite Birdman, but he's definitely rockin' some NBA tats!

Now THAT'S a typical Vander shot: off-balanced, around the hoop, andddddd it somehow goes in.

For those hoping to see Vander play, the Celtics play on ESPN at 5:30 central time tonight. Hopefully he doesn't choke on national TV like Marquette usually does.

No big deal. NBA and college basketball didn't rate very high in this poll so not many people will take note anyways. NBA was 5th most popular sport, edging out Nascar. College bball came in 7th place, edging out golf.

It's amazing how bad college bball is with the exception of March Madness. So few people care.

Also Wednesday, the Celtics traded backup point guard Jordan Crawford along with shooting guard MarShon Brooks to Golden State on Wednesday as part of a three-team trade that brought Joel Anthony from Miami to Boston.

Maybe good for Vander going forward, I know Rondo is back too

We had this discussion months ago in the football concussions thread.  Basketball is a gnat on an elephant's arse.  It isn't close to football....nor is anything else.  Not even in the most remote conditions right now.  Pure domination.

Football going nowhere anytime soon

33-27 with 2 minutes to go in 2nd qtr of C's-Brooklyn.  Watching this horrible bball game in hopes that Vander gets some run but unfortunately no PT yet.  Man, the Eastern conference is bad.

Eldon

Played 3 minutes tonight.  2 points on 1-2 shooting, 1 rebound and 1 foul in a blowout loss to the Knicks.

Vander should be getting more minutes on this dog of a team. Maybe the Celts will draft Derrick to push Rondo.
I thought you were dead. Willie lives rent free in Reekers mind.

Clearly Brad Stevens is stubborn and only giving minutes to those who work hard in practice.

Auto Racing, not Nascar (big difference), was 4th edging out the NBA by 1 percentage point.

Has anyone heard whether or not Vander will be offered a second 10-day contract?

Avery Bradley is expected to be back on Sunday. That makes me think that it's unlikely for Blue to be extended, so to speak. I have no insider info or anything though and I hope I'm wrong.
