Starting the Wooden Legacy thread so we can post our observations/pictures from Chico's crib and the various tournament venues and activities.  First, a mood setter:

Dr. Blackheart

Here is the family at Lake Havasu on our way to Chico's.  Are the Disney Hopper passes ready?  Is the wireless code still:  hoopaloop123?  Remember, don't slot our camper in front of the Keefe's on your driveway and block our Winnebago in.  I have plenty of Natty Light and Muscatel for the backyard BBQ reception.

I laughed, I admit it...I laughed

You have a lovely family, you'll fit right in.

We are reality TV stars.  I forgot to mention we need room for the film crew too. ;)

I am shamed that I know the true nature of that photo, thank you for that.

/always knew that you'd "holler for a dollar".
You actually have a degree from Marquette?

Quote from: muguru
No...and after reading many many psosts from people on this board that do...I have to say I'm MUCH better off, if this is the type of "intelligence" a degree from MU gets you. It sure is on full display I will say that.

CreightonWarrior

Just wanted to wish you all good luck out in the tournament and hopefully we play each other (in the championship game). Its not going to be easy staying up for the 10 pm game but i'll have a nice little rest on my engorged stomach for beer and leftover turkey. Should be some good games and we'll get revenge on ASU for you.

keefe

Manning up for the flight to Orange County. Chico, I filed for a VFR approach at MCAS El Toro. Are you sending a crew van to pick me up? I am hauling a sh1tload of Cohibas and Islay single malt.

El Toro....there's a blast from the past.  You'd be better off coming into Joint Forces Airbase Los Alamitos, closer to mi casa (especially since El Toro is closed now).   ;)

SoCalEagle

Keefe, did you say cohibas and single malt? What time do you land? I'm on my way!!

While y'all are in the OC, hit up Mastro's in Newport Beach but only order gluten free and wine.

And if you're missing Portillo's there's one in Buena Park/

Went there this summer as well as Knott's Berry Farm.
Better than your crappy Six Flags; a real family friendly place...with churro ice cream sundaes!

The Mamas and the Papas would have never gotten a record deal these days.  The label would have said, "Lose the fat chick and we'll talk."  Or they would have pulled Michelle Phillips out as a solo artist and autotuned her voice.
Have some patience, FFS.

Gents, can get these both within a five minute cab ride in Chi Town. Need me some okonomiyaki, Gabbi's Mexican and a Marie Calendar's pie to go. Screw the Brain Drain Diet crap...too late for any Scooper.

okonomiyaki

How the hell does a Gaijin in Illinois know about this Kansai specialty?? I didn't know okonomiyaki was all that popular outside of Japan. I grew up in Tokyo where the more common version is monjayaki.

One hint for authenticity: Always make sure they are using Yama Imo as the binding agent rather than potato. It makes a big difference in taste and texture.

And I am pretty sure that is not my family.  But I will be sleeping in a refrigerator box in Chicos backyard tonight.

My kids ride their bikes to Knotts every once in awhile.  Season passes there do not cost a mortgage payment like Disneyland.
