Couldn't agree more.  If some anonymous Scoopers (that post multiple times a day) don't have something nice to say, they can't wait to post it on this site.  I like the hype, can't get enough of Raferty, and I liked the content in tonight's Tip Party. For those who like to crap on all that is good, get a life you f'n critical douche internet nerds... maybe spend more time doing some critical thinking about your nonexistent/ugly/fat wives/girlfriends/right hands.

Stuff like this needs to start getting collected into a drunken rants thread. Pure gold, Tom!

And I have a vested emotional interest in Marquette. That doesn't mean I have to go on national TV and say Derrick Wilson is the best point guard in the country.

Clearly, that is only because they haven't seen Davante run the point.

I thought the program was good at promoting the league being tough.

- At least a 20 minute in-studio debate about college basketball being a bigs or guards game.

Better yet, a scrimmage.  The 5 best bigs in the conference vs the 5 best guards.   ;D

It was a great show on all 10 teams. I really like Rob Stone.

Does anyone have a link to the BE Tip Party??? I didn't get the chance to watch it yesterday.

Jeesus H. Christ, folks ... yes, I criticized the show. What? Offering critiques is suddenly beyond the scope of Scoop?

From now on, must I say stuff like, "Wow, I'd be bothered by those turnovers but the way our handsome lads stood at attention during the national anthem makes the turnovers seem so unimportant"?

Oh well. I thought we could offer opinions here -- especially about lame TV productions -- without being branded as cranky old ladies. Whatevs.

The problem is that you just come off as a pretentious internet douche that expects absolute perfection in a b-ball conference that has literally not played a game, and a network that launched 2 months ago.  I think it's perfectly fair to express opinions on here, but I think when you're so far off base people are going to tell you to shut up like in this topic.

Sorry - gotta agree with MU82 here.

I understand the show is really about FS1's production of Big East basketball rather than the games themselves, but they could at least be semi-realistic with some of the hype.

Raftery is one of my favorite color commentators and he has always shown a fondness for Marquette and for Buzz, so I expect that once he is back courtside - the quality will go up.

I don't expect absolute perfection. I expect a more watchable production.

Others disagreed with me and thought it was a good show. If they were right, it certainly wouldn't be the first time I was wrong.

One thing I don't do is call my fellow Scoopers "pretentious internet douches" or any other childish names. I'm just a fan with an opinion, as is everybody else here.

Personal attacks and name-calling over the opinions I espoused seems ridiculous and over-the-top. But go ahead, prove how manly you are and call me a doo-doo head. I've been called a lot worse by a lot better person than you.

My brother is a producer at ESPN and he agrees with your sentiment. The production value was really weak. Surprising for a network like Fox.

Obviously, your brother is a pretentious internet douche.

It was fine. I knew it was going to be a 2 hour commercial for the Big East Basketball Season.  It wasn't going to be like an episode of Frontline on PBS.

FS1 needs to follow Raff around for a night on the town in each of the BE cities.
