Huh and I've thought they were the same thing my whole life.

Yup. ACL = Achilles-Calf Tendon.
Thanks for ruining summer, Canada.

Yup. ACL = Achilles-Calf Ligament.

FIFY, dumbass.  Tendon doesn't start with L.   ;D

Basically a ligament is connective tissue that connects bone to bone. A tendon connects muscle to bone. There's a little confusing mix-up of the terms referring to the front of the knee, but essentially it's all tendon, and the kneecap is just a big sesamoid bone ( a bone in tendon).

Man, this thread has morphed into a bashing of Holiday Inn staying medical malpractioners.
I thought you were dead. Willie lives rent free in Reekers mind.

A bone in what? Do you have a bone in your butt? Or is it all the pelvis that's really a bone throughout a region such that there is no bone in your butt (unless you're ZFB on most Thursday through Sunday nights)?

Did you guys know Dejuan Blair has no achilles? Pretty crazy

Your gonna really confuse people now ?-(

It would be interesting to watch someone play with no Achilles though - foot floppin' around and all.

If I'm a D1 basketball player or some dude that works in an office, I would rather tear my ACL than my Achilles.

You're telling me!  And, yes, 4, I have been in deep consultation with the good doctor.  His reply:  turn your head to the right and cough.......again.
