MU Bags/corn hole sets
« on: June 15, 2013, 10:05:24 PM »
I have a set of custom made bags/corn hole boards made by a fellow MU alum. Unfortunately, I got them from a guy I no longer have contact with. I was wondering if anyone here made or knows someone who made MU bags boards. I want to get another set for my parents to hace at their lake house.

This guy makes the best boards I have seen / played on.

I took immediate note that this company's standard cornhole bags are bullet proof. Perfect for after action relaxation in your favorite combat theatre of operations. I presume these were field tested under live fire conditions.

I have never played this game nor seen a cornhole set but the fact that they make bullet proof gear has some appeal. Just think, if I had been wearing Smash Cornhole bags instead of my ABU's I wouldn't have taken those two AK rounds. Lowest bid contracting I guess.

Sincere question - this game is for adults? It has to be an excuse for beer drinking I am guessing.

I actually asked Derrick Smash for a quote, sending him Tall Titan's pics.

$475.  I don't think that included the actual bags, either.  Looks like jsglow will have to stick to playing testicle toss at the tailgate parties.

Have some patience, FFS.

Corn hole is hot on the east coast (Virginia, North Carolina).

I am from DC and have never heard of it. Must be a down state craze or a more recent development.

I loudly referred to a corn hole game while in a tavern and was asked by the owner to watch my language.

It is however, cornhole, until bags has a governing body:

Visited Southern VA last summer and they were announcing corn hole tournaments on the radio at local restaurants. The boards was sold everywhere and personalized.

A variation on horseshoes. Not high on skill but that makes it an ideal summer time beer drinking activity for a group of friends.

Bingo.  Easy to play with one hand while holding a beer in the other.  Less risk of injury than horseshoes.  It's a fun game.  Very popular here in NE Ohio, too.
Never wrestle with a pig.  You both get dirty, and the pig likes it.

A good game for kids too.

I like horseshoes, but they can be pretty heavy/dangerous for some people.

Everybody can throw a bean bag.

I'd say it takes a moderate amount of skill. You have to balance the beer in one hand, afterall.

I forgot how much he charged me but it wasn't $475. He did tell me that MU set would have cost more because of all of the side striping.

Be like ZarZar and buy one for your primary residence/mansion, one for daddy's lakehouse, another one for the condo downtown and still another for the Florida crib. Then you're all set. No need to carry the shuffleboard stuff around.

I like playing bags, but refuse to call it cornhole.
Thanks for ruining summer, Canada.
