Assume what I say should be in teal if it doesn't pass the smell test for you.

QuoteAll the guy does for MU...scholarships through Boys and Girls Club, helps with recruiting. Comes to games whenever he can. Just received NBA humanitarian award. Good father etc. yet, he gets ripped by his own. Pathetic.

Last I checked the thread is on his play on the court.  Off the court he represents MU phenomenally...unless he's wearing capris or that Versace jacket.

Keefe apparently has the same CD that we do that contains every single New Yorker cartoon ever printed.
Have some patience, FFS.

I think this is missing the point- at least for me...

I love Wade and always will!!- for what he did and has done for MU, on and off the court..
But I absolutely agree with those who see in the past few years of his play a rising level of dirty play, whining, etc that quite frankly sucks.  I know many other players do it, but I hate to say Dwayne go there as much as he has...

I was thinking JefferyWeee IS Gregg Doyel...

Interesting article, guess D-Wade caused global warming too, he's the new George Bush

Perfect.

It's only worth bringing up because of the way he's idolized around here without pointing out any sort of flaw.

Nah, facebook has at least 10% random advertisements that no one in their right mind would be interested in.

an ACC site discusses Doyel's article on Wade:

QuoteWe lost patience a while back with Gregg Doyel, so we really don't read his column very often anymore, primarily because he's a bully.

We heard his column slamming Dywane Wade partly read on Mike & Mike Tuesday morning, and something just jumped out at us. It has before, but it was different when someone actually reads it: the guy refers to himself incessantly.

In the Wade column, he did it sixteen or seventeen times.

dwaderoy2004

Not liking the guy doesn't make him wrong.  It probably just irritates you more that he is right.

You know, after watching Wade whine, slough off, and dog it in the playoffs, the Heat should just fire Wade or trade him. Draft Blue in the first round and Otule in the second and all will be good in the world.

What makes you think Chris Otule will still be available in the Second Round of the NBA Draft?

I stand corrected--maybe a lottery pick. That would be close to the Bucks number in the draft.

Good old hyperbole.  Useful when you run out of actual arguments.

I don't understand your argument.  Are you saying that, as MU fans, we should hold Wade to a LOWER standard than the average fan and overlook his whining, cheap shots, etc?

I know it's been a while, but here is what I am saying.

1. I don't think DWade is a dirty player, certainly not the dirtiest player in the NBA. I will admit that he has taken some cheap shots in his career, but he has also taken a serious beating throughout his career so I think some of his behavior is understandable, if not justified.

2. I don't believe that this many MU fans would suddenly decide that they are sick of the greatest MU player ever because of some questionable plays and complaining to the officials. I think most of those people have ulterior motives for being sick of Wade. I think they don't want to admit this, so they try to find other reasons to justify their feelings. Thus, threads like this are started.
