Low expectations.  Just the way we like it.

Have some patience, FFS.

Agreed, warriorchick. I think it is going to be exciting game and we definitely have a chance to move on.

muwarrior69

Well you really can't blame them for picking Miami, but if we continue to shoot poorly, turn the ball over and fail to inbound we should continue to do the only thing we do well....WIN!

warriorchick

If they Miami BB players believe what all those "experts" say, we're golden (pardon the pun).
Have some patience, FFS.

Nothing like over exaggerating Sultan. He's better(maybe), but not THAT much better. He's also smaller.

I want this quote to serve as a reminder to the vast majority of scoop posters in regards to the MU BB program.

Shane Larkin is very good.   And the make-up of his teammates are different.    Miami has more bigs that aren't going to be guarded by Vander or Trent.   And finally, JFB ain't walking through that door.     All of that said, I think MU has a decent shot at winning this one.    As a fanbase, we shouldn't just assume because JFB and MU were able to shut down Tu, that Shane Larkin will suffer the same fate.

All the pundits say Miami is too good.

On the other hand, I predict Larkin will be reduced to Tu Holloway tears.  Cut off the head and the body dies.  Here are a bunch of video link...the usual talking heads

Relax. Respect the Process.

Agree that Larkin isn't that much better than Holloway. He's a really, really good player, but MU has seen players just as good or better this year.

Of course, it would be nice if MU had Jimmy Butler to frustrate Larkin all night.

Without looking, which of these players is Tu Holloway and which is Shane Larkin?

That would be nice.  But what we do have is a group of 4-5 guys that are capable of guarding him that we can keep throwing at him one after the other, always fresh.  Wear him down.

all buzz needs to do is have Todd mayo face guard Larkin the whole game.  Based on past experience, they will just stand near the sidelines together.

That was odd as hell wasn't it?

Gonna guess B is Holloway due to the higher usage & FTR.  Strikingly similar!

You are correct. But those numbers really demonstrate that in terms of productivity, they are very similar. Holloway was a bit more of a volume shooter but his aggressiveness at getting to the line and converting (Holloway MADE more than twice as many FTs in 2010-11 as Larkin ATTEMPTED this year) gives him the edge in my eyes. Also like the higher assist rate.
