I grew up in Illinois and never cared for the U of I...that said I'll cheer for them tonight so it makes Thursday more enjoyable.

As a kid from the suburbs, visiting friends at the U of I was the worst fracking experience ever. From rows and row of date-rapey frat houses where you had to introduce yourself to "Bluto" to get a beer, to the absolutely lamest bars I've ever been to, that placed sucked hard.

And the generalizations of their students is dead on.  Where do you think the douchiest-of-douchebags who lives in Lincoln Park went to college?

Pretty much spot on, but it's also spot on for the majority of Big Ten schools.

Just from a personal standpoint, ive never experienced that with U of I fans. Thats just me.
