Jersey guy should have a Catholic 7 jersey made for him.  And then promptly retire his number after this alignment is all done.

Anyway, meeting between C7 to happen Wednesday (today) to discuss:

*Expansion: Butler and Xavier for sure, with Creighton "not far behind" for 2014
*New HQ location: either Providence or DC
*WCC commissioner Zaninovich and Dan Gavitt are top in running for the conference commissioner
*RU and Lville won't leave til after next season
*"America 12" may be out--Old BE mulling over including the word "metro" in their conference since everyone except ECU is in a metro area

The Process

"Mid-Metro Conference" sounds just like the Mid-Major conference they're becoming.  Perfect name!
Relax. Respect the Process.

Eldon

I hope, for their sake, they are savvy enough not to put "mid" anywhere in their conference name.

"Savvy" and "Aresco" seem to be mutually-exclusive words.  I don't think I'd stop laughing for days if they did put "mid" in their conference name.

Does this mean there's only 9 next year?

He's extremely savvy...very smart.  He was given an epic turd  week after he landed in the job.  They will survive.

He also didn't handle it well.  You keep glossing over that part.

Are the guys not into dressing and grooming at ECU?

Wow, I'm very concerned for Benny.  Being able to mimic Myron Medcalf's writing so closely implies an oncoming case of dementia.

Funniest thing I've read in a while.  Well done.

So first I find out I wasn't even CONSIDERED to be the new Pope, and now I'm not even getting a look for Big East Commissioner?

We Are Marquette

I'll trust this over the NY Post rumor.  More what we've been hearing all along.  And I knew they wouldn't be bringing a program with one NCAA win since 1990 in as #10.

Jersey Guy mentioned that The Big Metro Conference has support. Not sure The BM Conference is the wisest

UConn is most definitely not in a metro area. Have you ever been to Storrs, CT?

In all fairness, by the time he got the job everything else was already in motion. A true no win gig.

True that.  Maybe they're already thinking past Uconn

Really?  Dang!  I was polishing up the old resume because they are going to need a CFO.  No way would I relocate to either of those godforsaken places.
Have some patience, FFS.

Why, you think Des Plaines is the cat's meow?

To be fair, they play their bigger games in Hartford.....

At least I wouldn't have to move to work for the B16.

And I am certainly not moving from one godforsaken place to another.  Maybe they would let me telecommute....
Have some patience, FFS.

Maybe they can put it in Nashville! You can be CFO and I'll be commissioner.

They can invite Belmont into the league.

In the immortal words of Tatu; "Da Plane, Da Plane."  Few viewers of Fantasy Island picked up on this proof that Tatu was a native Chicagoan.
You actually have a degree from Marquette?

Quote from: muguru
No...and after reading many many psosts from people on this board that do...I have to say I'm MUCH better off, if this is the type of "intelligence" a degree from MU gets you. It sure is on full display I will say that.

What's wrong with DC? It's a pretty with it place.

Actually, it proves that Tatu WASN'T a native Chicagoan.  A native Chicagoan pronounces it "Dezz Plainz".
Have some patience, FFS.
