Looks awesome! Especially like the baby blue stones. Who pays for these? The players? The University/donors? Buzz?

I don't doubt it's compliant, but that looks pretty sweet compared to the class ring my folks bought me upon graduation, and I wouldn't have shelled out $400 as a broke college grad.

Yeah.  Check out page 4 of last years media guide if you have it.

You don't even know what the players' fingernails look like?  Some fan you are.

Do they sell them just like the Ohio St. players do?

Please don't tear me a new a$$ cause i'm not sure....

Do all schools who advance the the sweet 16 get rings?  Does anybody else see this as a consolation prize and find it cheesy?

Yes i understand making it to the sweet 16 is a great achievement but ring worthy? Not sure about that.

Agreed.  Not quite a participation trophy, but...

If you were a recruit and saw that, wouldn't you be interested in getting one?

Pretty sure they get one for making the tournament too. Hey, if a high school team gets one for winning state, college teams should get one for being one of the last 16 standing. I'd take one.

You'd think with all the money the program had that they don't have a manicurist on staff!

Totally agree. If they get rings for winning two games, what happens if they win it all? Bronze statues?

It's small time.

See, I knew this would happen sooner or later when broads are allowed to post on this board.

If they make the Final Four, I think a Four Finger ring would be in order.  Pure bling straight across the knuckles.  Perhaps LL Cool J could consult on the design.

I vote for gold medallions the size of dinner plates featuring a diamond-encrusted MU logo.

Small time?!?  The ring commemorates a significant achievement.  16 of 347 D-I teams advanced to the Sweet 16 last year.  95th percentile.  Final ranking #10.  2nd place in Big East (1st place once Syracuse's season is vacated).  How is that not worthy of some sort of memento?

If you want to rag on people for giving out rings for no accomplishment whatsoever, talk to Jostens' high school sales department.
Wow, I'm very concerned for Benny.  Being able to mimic Myron Medcalf's writing so closely implies an oncoming case of dementia.
