About 12 of my friends are getting together and having a B-party in MKE for one of our good friends. We all are MU grads and we're hoping you guys could suggest some activities we could do. We plan on going to the 5 o'clock steakhouse, skydiving, rented a boat, gun range, brewery tour, and staying at the Phister hotel for the wknd.

Give me some more suggestions of what we can do....and yes we will be going to Silk.

I hope the boat rental is on the Milw River so you can dock at some of the bars.

You could try the pedal tavern... http://pedaltavern.com/
The shaka sign, sometimes known as "hang loose", is a gesture of friendly intent often associated with Hawaii and surf culture.

Depending on the date, check out what Fest is at the lakefront.  (I went to a Bachelor Party that spent three hours I don't remember at Irish Fest).

The Iron Horse Hotel is nicer than the Pfister...but not as convenient being down on Walker's Point.  Unless you want to use a spa of course.

Been going to Coerper's 5 O'Clock since '87 -- always said it was one of the best steaks anywhere, period. Hadn't been in 5 years or so, and my daughter was celebrating her birthday last weekend and she loves steak, so we went. Absolutely disappointed. Steaks were fine, but nothing special. And when you take away the signal most important advantage (the actual steak itself), you are left with a dreary, worn supper club with no great sides, no ambiance or interesting clientele. It was kind of depressing. Capitol Grille and Carnevor -- though expensive and trendy -- have a much better steak and overall experience.

The rest of your trip sounds great. Silk is pretty solid, especially for MKE. Bar hopping on Brady St. is always solid too.

Think these guys would be looking at Pride Fest.

Is Art's Peforming Center still around?
Have some patience, FFS.

Last I checked it was.  No idea if the talent has improved or not.

Also, I don't see Real Chili in your plans...

WORST IDEA EVER.  Once you start drinking, the last thing you want to do is exert yourself pedaling a heavy ass machine.

Back in the day, we took a bus from the SW Chicago Burbs to MKE for my bachelor party.  Half Barrel on the bus, visited a half a dozen MU bars and ended up at Art's.  One (or was it two?) of the guys with us ended up on stage with one of the girls.  Fun night from what someone told me.

First thing you should do is get all of your buddies together at the lobby of the hotel, hop in a limo and have them drive you to the airport, then get on a plane and go to a respectable city.

I went to Koz's mini-bowling one for the first part of a bachelor party, it was a pretty good time. Good option if there is bad weather.

mu_hilltopper

We need to have an MUScoop bachelor party, so all us old farts have an excuse to go to Silk.

Well it certainly couldn't have gotten much worse.

Wow, I'm very concerned for Benny.  Being able to mimic Myron Medcalf's writing so closely implies an oncoming case of dementia.

If chili isn't in your plans, you might as well spend all your time at pride fest.

Hey hey hey, its Rickey's on State.

Consider a Sprecher tour.  Last time we were there, they left us alone, literally, for three hours in the tasting room.

In all honesty, MKE is a better city than Chicago for a bachelor party.

MKE is nice because it's pretty easy to get around, so you can do several of the following things: golf, brewery tour(s), baseball game, steak dinner, strip club, bar hopping, etc.

Chicago is great, but has some logistical issues when you try to get around, especially with a big group.

If you are cool with a ballgame and bar hopping, Wrigleyville is obviously great. If you want more variety, you're going to have to be organized because the logistics get tougher due to size and traffic.

ZiggysFryBoy

I did back to back nights in milw and chicago. Milw was more fun.

Ahh Rickey's, the strip club that reminds other strip clubs things could always be worse.

Still there, ended up there at the end of a bachelor party weekend with a bunch of swimmers from Iowa 4 years ago.  Talent has not improved...."best" stripper was celebrating her 39th birthday, but we sure did have a good time and the guys said they had been to worse strip clubs....I'm thinking it involved cows and barns.

Paint Balling is a good time, I'd also recommend Landmark for some bowling and good beer
