Thought he deserved his own thread.

6-8, 190 pound power forward from Milwaukee Pulaski. Went to Indian Hills CC, same as Buycks. Playing his way into a JUCO All-American as a freshman. Rivals has us as interested.

"He knows that he can get at the top of that press and get deflections and easy scores and it gives him energy," said Burgette. "His energy brings more energy to everybody else on our team."

Pretty sure he's a 2013.  We'd have him for two years.

"Probably the most impressive - and certainly most productive - freshman of the day was Indian Hills forward Jameel McKay. A wiry and long 6-foot-7 forward, the Milwaukee native has a great motor, athleticism and a nose for the ball. He's relentless in his pursuit of rebounds, is a full court athlete, defends and competes. A no brainer on the high major level, he'll be one of the nation's top junior college players next season. If all of that's true, I don't see any way he doesn't end up at MU (assuming we have room).

BTW, I am starting to think Buzz may actually recruit guys based on their names. This is unbelievable.

GGGG

FYI, when I was looking him up, I saw that his Twitter handle is "mrmeelwaukee" and he is friends of Duane Wilson.

TWITTER TRRRRRACKA!

Will say it again. Not many players I enjoy watching play more than Indian Hills freshman Jameel McKay.

Jameel was also having a conversation with Duane Wilson and was excited for his commitment to Marquette.

Stated he was offered scholarships to all the same schools as Wilson.

Can you say tailor made??? Should be interesting to see how this develops.

Here is doing some drills...looks like he has a pretty decent shot to go along with a great frame and seems to move pretty smooth. This would be a great pick up for Buzz we'll see what happens.

This dude looks like he could be really good for us if we can get him.

Cat's got  a year and a half to grow the dreads out.

We're also full for 2013 and could still be oversigned by 1 if OTule gets a medical hardship waiver.

Details, details. The 2013 season is a long way off - keep recruiting studs. This guy looks like one.

Otule's Glass Eye

would you rather have McKay or Nunn?

Both.  Cut 'em all and restart from scratch.

First to leave would probably be Jones, was really excited about him coming in but he has disappointed.

I think the Nunn ship may have sailed, but I would want McKay.  We are loaded at guard.

Plus it would add even more confusion for announcers pronouncing names lol

What he said. I love the idea for that reason alone...

Jamil, Jamail, Jamal, Jameel...love it.

I would take the Rick SLU program right now.

Near bottom of that Rivals piece on him:

"I think he'll look for somewhere that can develop him to get some NBA looks," said Burgette. "Coaches that have shown that they can put players in the league and develop their guys will really appeal to him."

In the name of Jimmy, Lazar and Jae, does this scream "BUZZ!!!" or what?

I hope this isn't a pipe dream but it would be really cool if Buzz can pull off a solid core of Milwaukee kids a la the Flintstones and lead MU to the promised land.

That would be a story for the ages...

Been thinking about this exact same thing ever since Deonte Burton committed.  With DuWilson now in the mix it seems more and more likely.... I hate it when I convince myself the best possible scenario is going to play out

Stats are solid and he looks like he could contribute right away for MU. Still not completely sold given his slight frame.

But we've had such bad experiences with JUCOs.  Especially those with dreds.
