With Philip Nolan back in Milwaukee, and the Seton Hall game in Milwaukee this year, I hope that you're not suggesting a compete repeat of last year this year in Milwaukee.
i believe mu will win the game, DJO, Crowder and Buzz will immediately sprint to the media room beating all the bloggers/reporters and they will then leave the room and complain about the media being late.  nolan will be waiting for buzz on two knees where he will beg buzz to offer him a schollie.

Not a complete repeat but Buzz should invite him into the locker room after the game and make him wait an hour.

Just got back from watching Nolan against Brookfield Central and I don't know how to feel about him. He got stuffed more than a few times by BC's 6' 6" forward. Looks like Tokoto, a little taller and a little leaner. Plays his whole game on the outside and shoots a fair amount of 3s/long jumpers. Didn't post up once. Kept thinking why doesn't he just go inside and dominate, but it doesn't look like that's his game. On the postitive side, he has good body control and athleticism for his size. Good shot blocker as well.

4everwarriors

Watched  him on the tube and I don't see his game translating to the BE.

I would be shocked if he is in an MU uni next year.

Goose

I think good upside with him and worth rolling the dice. He wants to be here and should be help in getting other local studs down the road.

GGGG

There is no room for him next year.  And if someone leaves, I rather pocket the scholie for 2013 since we don't have any for then either.  (ie, Kendrick Nunn.)

Goose

Sultan---I believe we will have room for him.

Technically MU does have one today for 2013 for a player like Nunn...Otule is still a question mark for the 6th year...and a lot can happen between then and now.  Use it now for 2013.  Heck, Chris could even be a walk on for a grad school schollie (TA) by that time if he even wants to return.

GGGG

That's why I said "If someone leaves...pocket it for 2013."  Otule isn't walking on.  If he gets a 6th year, he'll be on scholarship...and I put that at about a 98% likelihood.

Doesn't Nolan have some potential academic eligibility issues?  Just not seeing him either way given our scholarship situation and some of the talent in the Milwaukee and Chicago areas over the next few years.  We will need height, but getting stud 2 guards and wings that are too good to pass up and getting a point guard are probably higher priorities than a tall guy who would need to be taught how to play inside.

Polished or project?

I pick polished, as much as polished can be at the end of their prep career.

Nunn better.

MattyWarrior

we need height today, look at the difference it makes in rebounding!

THE LOVER

Any idea what is going on with Nolan?

And,it looks like if he worked on his hair, it could rival Jae's!

like this quote:

"Coaches that have shown that they can put players in the league and develop their guys will really appeal to him."

Goose

book the Juco and we make another run next year.

Blackhat

If we get McCay ain't no way in hell Durley is coming.

BTW, McKay goes to the same community college that Dwight Buycks went to.

And McKay is from Milwaukee, like Buycks

MUMac

Why did he go JC?  It said academics was the reason he went JC over Prep School.  I am guessing he went JC because he did not have any offers, had graduated and thus did not qualify for Prep.  But, the info. is unclear.  He is a Freshman, so I am guessing he could go D1 now, but does anyone know?

Could put on a few pounds, but here's what I like:

"McKay is a four-star prospect that plays with the heart of a lion and seems to have an endless supply of energy and willingness to do the dirty work."
The shaka sign, sometimes known as "hang loose", is a gesture of friendly intent often associated with Hawaii and surf culture.

This quote also is right up Buzz's alley:

"I think he'll look for somewhere that can develop him to get some NBA looks," said Burgette. "Coaches that have shown that they can put players in the league and develop their guys will really appeal to him."
