Luke 6:45   ...A good man produces goodness from the good in his heart; an evil man produces evil out of his store of evil.   Each man speaks from his heart's abundance...

Some said the same when we were 23, 20, 17, 13 etc.

We aren't Kansas or Duke, not yet, and this is uncharted territory in many of our lives or in over 3 decades and that matters.

Being in the top 5 matters, managing to get to #1 would matter, even in December.
So let's win tomorrow and get there.

If nothing else it's fun af and it means Marquette is winning and that much closer to a 1 seed, which makes the ultimate road easier.
Also, more people will start to ask is Marquette in Michigan.

Houston will be #2 and FAU will be back in the top 10.  We will either be #7 or  #6.

Houston is already already behind Kansas and this week Houston beat NIT at best Xavier while Kansas beat  national title contender UConn. There's no reason for Houston to jump Kansas this week.

Were behind Zona, KU, Houston, UConn, and Purdue for sure. Only way we are #6 is if we stay agead of Baylor and Gonzaga. I think one is possible,  i don't think we'll be above undefeared Baylor.

Maybe FAU sneaks in to the top ten.  They don't belong there but voters are dumb

Have you looked at who Nebraska has played?  Still a good rd win but the Huskers have had a rather soft schedule.

No but Creighton is cranking in all cylinders.  Scheirman on fire,  great rebounding, physical, and tough.   They will be a handful

They certainly can be dangerous.

I'm going with 10, which I think is more than fair for a 2 loss team.

7 is my guess - we have top 5 toughest schedules out of all the P6 teams. We win the last 3 non con games and that is 9-2 for non con. I think many people would be happy with that considering our SOS.

I would have signed up for that. Plus I would have assumed one of those L's was Kansas.

We beat Kansas, Kansas beats UConn, we lose to Purdue

I understand the transitive stuff doesn't always work perfectly but when voters use it to justify rankings then  the order of

Purdue
Marq
Kansas
UConn

Should roughly stay the same. AZ, Houston and Baylor can fit accordingly but any changes in the order of the above four is a bit absurd IMO.
