I'm just rooting for Nova to get up to #12 by the time our game happens...

Let's go, Fighting Hookers of Louisville. It's silly but I want that single digit next to our name for NMD. FOX game, another Top-15 team in our house, lot's of eyes. Pick up two wins next week and we may find ourselves in uncharted territory. Yes, I'm getting way ahead of myself here.

9 definitely possible with a UNC loss today.

I would take the Rick SLU program right now.

PGsHeroes32

Memphis starting off down 27-1 to South Florida isn't gonna get Penny ranked anytime soon
Lazar picking up where the BIG 3 left off....

ChitownSpaceForRent

Virginia Tech and NC State in an absolute barn burner, 20-14 at the half...

Boston Warrior

Beverly 0-10 first half for nc state...

Va tech 0-5 free throws but ft no matter

LloydsLegs

Holy crap.  4:10 left and VT is up 44-22.

Is Wisconsin hosting a scrimmage with itself?

Otule's Glass Eye

Big win for Indiana at MSU, helps our loss vs them look a little better and it also might help us move up in the rankings. With MSU and Michigan losing we should pass one or both since they were #5 and #6. I think we're #8 or #9.

I don't know. I feel like there's a big gap between us and those teams. We may jump MSU because it was at home and the Langford news may change voter's minds.

I think Kansas jumps us this week.

slack00

I think we stay at 10, but gain points.  If Kansas hadn't lost to Texas this week I think they would have passed us back up since they were only a couple points behind us.  Since they lost this week I don't see that happening now.

Did not realize they lost to Texas, carry on.

brewcity77

Also, Michigan State lost twice this week. Purdue also beat them. Decent chance we pass them.

I was assuming we would pass them even if they only lost 1 game, I did not know they lost 2 games. We'll pass them for sure.

They lost Sunday so just once this week

You're right...this week really flew. Felt like that was just a couple nights ago.

DoctorV

MSU lost to Purdue on Sunday, before the current rankings. I can see them dropping below us or staying barely ahead. I'll guess we stay at 10 with highest possible 9

DarkWarrior

We may edge into 9. Pretty elite territory reserved for the anointed when you get past a 10! Not sure the voters will see us that way but I hope I am wrong!

TAMU, Knower of Ball

If I had to guess, I think the top 10 will be:

1-4: Unchanged
5: Kentucky
6: Michigan
7: Nevada
8: North Carolina
9: Michigan State
10: Marquette

I think there was a pretty big gap between Michigan State at 6 and Kentucky at 7 last week, I just don't see this one loss erasing that whole gap plus the space between Kentucky and Marquette. Only way I think we move up is if the news about Langford being done for the season changes some voters thoughts about MSU.

I do know, Newsie is right on you knowing ball.

MuMark

Rothstein has us at 9 .......ahead of MSU and behind UNC

Odds are MU & Villanova will hold right around they are rank right now. Would lead to the highest rank match up in Milwaukee since 3/3/12 when Crowder scored 26 points with 14 rebounds and Johnson-Odom added 17 points in the duo's final home appearance as seniors, helping Marquette (No. 7 ESPN/USA Today, No. 8 AP) beat Georgetown (No. 12 ESPN/USA Today, No. 11 AP) 83-69

We had a big Charlotte group watching that game on the tube. Loved it, obviously!

Attendance has waned some at our watching events the last few years. I'm hoping we have a huge turnout for NMD, given the success of our team, the opponent and what's at stake.
