They'd be a bubble team (if that) in any major conference imo. Played a total of zero high major opponents outside of some pac12 teams. I also think they backed out on their home and home deal to play at Rhode Island this year (although I'm not 100% sure on the circumstances there).

I'd be happy if MU drew them as a potential second round opponent in the NCAA. I think they're way overrated. Although, they could still make a run in the tournament because it is kind of a crapshoot.

Calling them a bubble team is ridiculous.  I agree they aren't a top 10 team, but other than the anomaly in Albuquerque , they've handled their business.  Funnily almost their entire non conference schedule is teams between 100-120 in the NET ratings.  They demolished a pretty solid Utah St team and mostly coast.  Id say they are a top 25 team based on both results and the eye test.

Caleb Martin is an a probable AA, Jordan Caroline is very good, Cody Martin is solid.  They will be around a 5 or so, and thats fair.  They don't have a ton of depth and really only go 7 deep, but their top 5 is very good.  And Mussleman is a great coach.

It's really not. If they lose 2 more games and fail to win their conference tournament, what really separates them from those St Mary's teams that got left out with 29-30 wins?

Nevada has done well in Q2, but they'll have at most 2 Q1 wins, and that's assuming they win at Utah State and Fresno stays top-75. I get what people like, but a Sweet 16 last year, a handful of mid-major studs & borderline NBA guys, and lofty AP rankings don't get you a bid, results do.

If they don't lose again, or only have 3 total losses on Selection Sunday, they probably get in. 4+ losses (considering at least 3 would be Q2-Q3) and they're on the bubble.

Completely agree. They are solidly in the tournament as of now. Absolutely not on the bubble.

It goes without saying that every good team is a bubble team if they lose a bunch of games.

Number 11 Florida State down by 7 with a minute and a half left to of they may be dropping quite a bit

Florida state should drop to 23-25. They lost 4 of their last 5 including 2 to horrible Boston College and Pitt.

They're only down for now with 52 seconds maybe I spoke too soon

Even if everybody in front of isn't lost it'd take the AP voters actually paying attention to move us up which only a couple do

They lost already this week

Dropping behind us regardless

Remember to factor in UW moving ahead of MU into the top 10

12 does seem right. Next week though with going 2-0 against Depaul and @ Xavier they have a realistic chance to be ranking inside the top 10. (13) North Carolina plays (9) Virginia Tech, Iowa state plays @ (7) Kansas. (24) Mississippi State plays at (12) Kentucky. (7) Kansas plays @ (12) Kentucky.

Michigan state also has 2 tough games against Maryland and Iowa but knowing the big ten bias they could lose both and still be ranked in the top 10.

I think Scoop pays more attention to this than some of the guys filling out the poll.

How do we petition the Associated Press to give scoop a ballot?

A MU Scoop letter writing campaign perhaps?

Deadspin bought a HOF ballot from a writer a few years ago. Maybe Rocky or Topper can use a bit of the fortune they've accumulated from this place to buy a writer's ballot.

Assume what I say should be in teal if it doesn't pass the smell test for you.

Otule's Glass Eye

Numbers 8, 9, 11 and 14 all lost, I say we pass at least 3 of those to get to #12, optimistically all 4 to get to #11

Anybody here think its better that we stay a bit lower on the ap radar but keep winning?

Top ten puts an even bigger target on us and teams lick their chops a lot more coming to play ?   Im good with top 12 to 15 as long as we have no bad losses or keep winning.

Have you watched the Big East? Teams play like everyone has a target, and I think us and Nova are right in the bullseye.
