18 at best is what I think as well. Idk if we are getting much respect on the national stage yet which is mind-boggling. Currently Lunardi has us a 6-seed on the 21 Dec Bracketology. But still has buffalo as a 3-seed. That guy is kinda always out to lunch but even Kenpom still has us as #30 and Butler as #29!

Lunardi does Bracketology only once a week this early in the season....Typically Tuesdays.....No one except Buffalo lost....I think we move up to 18.....That's OK.....I would rather be under the radar.....For now.....

have they had a chance to make adjustments yet based on weekend play?  Az. state had to have jumped following their upset of #1 kansas, and quite possibly made our ascension a little more difficult

I think we'll be right on the verge of the top 15, I'm guessing 16 or 17.  Obviously, none of this matters though.  I think around this time last year wasn't ASU ranked #1?  They went on to be a bubble team.

If I had to guess why some voters are not giving us the respect we feel we deserve is probably because our big W's are at home and we are outside the top 25 on KenPom.  Many writers these days are big KenPom followers and we rank 30 there, despite the big W's.

Also, I understand the UW hate but they probably deserve a ranking right in the same area as us.  They have some solid wins- NC State, Oklahoma, Iowa- and their only losses are against Virginia and road game to us- in OT.  Very similar resumes if we're being honest.  Other rankings like KenPom, NET, Sagarin like UW a bit more than us, which is probably why voters are ranking them higher.

Jumping or leapfrogging teams in the polls is faily uncommon.  Seems you have to beat a top 5 team is the only way you leapfrog teams to any significant degree.  Ascension innthe polls is a factor of continuing to win as those teams directly ahead of you lose.  Right or wrong its how it has historically worked.  I have no issue with being "underranked" (not sure that we are) as id prefer not to have that much of a bigger target on our back as we go out on the road in the BE
