Blackhat

We keep building on the D we played in the second half and perform anywhere close to that consistently we'll do just fine.  Thanks for the great effort and hustle!

ZiggysFryBoy

most effort all year.  good, solid comeback.  now regroup at home for a few.

🏀

Great second half, it came together.

Put the first half of the GTown game together with this second half and we beat Syracuse at home.

Tired of moral victories. I want wins.

Missed the first half (thankfully, judging by the box score) and was excited to see MU's efforts minus Otule AND Wilson.

marquette09

Yeah, but next time don't get down by 18 at halftime

Definitely great to see - we've got to make the most of this schedule to gel before March

Agreed. I'm sick of this crap. To come back like that and still lose is really hard to swallow.

77ncaachamps

Extremely satisfied of their 2nd half performance up to the last 4-5 min when they fumbled the ball away.

That first half just reeked of Vandy.

Question to the team: Where was that fight, that junkyard dog mentality, because it was there for a good part of the 2nd half?

Great second-half effort when they could have folded the tent. Hopefully this turns things around.

GGGG

Hopefully they can point to the second half as the time that their season turned around.

Thats it, but not executed.  How is it that inconsistencies like this occur.  Two great halves and two brutal ones and the end results are losses.

Da 'Lanche

Very proud of the effort and results in the second half when they could have easily have let an 18 point half time deficit, on the road against the #1 team in the country with payback on their agenda, turn into a blowout.   As disappointed as I was in the 2nd half of Georgetown and the first half of today...I found myself thinking we will be fine in BEast play if we bring it like this the rest of the way.

That seems more like a consistency the past two weeks

Completely agree. We always do this. Look like we are dead and buried(I accept that we sucked that day) but then we randomly come all the way back only to fall short.

Then do the exact opposite when we lead, and actually blow it.
Lazar picking up where the BIG 3 left off....

MU has now 3 examples that they need to play 40 minutes to win against tough opponents.  Nevertheless that was a badass second half team effort on both ends.  Hopefully they don't need a 4th reminder.

MUMac

What impressed me, though, is we kept coming back and back and ...  Every time we cut into the lead, they hit a big 3.  MU didn't fold, though.  Kept pushing and pursuing.  A shame Junior turned the ball over down 5 with just under a minute.  We had numbers.  Could have made it interesting.

I liked our effort. I also think we could win our next 10 games before heading to UCONN. Louisville is overrated and the schedule other than them is very winnable. Go 9-1 in that stretch and were 21-5, and probably back in the top 10. Good effort today...now back to enjoying Maui.

I would take the Rick SLU program right now.

Getting home will help. Can circle back and put in performance against the Johnnies.

Cadougan was really, really good in the middle of that second half. Adds a dimension we desperately need.

I agree, but terrible turnover at the end by Junior. We nail a three there, or even a two and it is a 2 or 3 point game with 40 seconds left. Get a stop and you never know.

Man, I wanted the comeback to be true.

Amazing that we were down by almost 20, came back to lose by 7, and Cuse shot 39.3% from the field.

Kris Joseph was the key to the game. Hit 4-4 from 3pt. Made two big threes to thwart MU rallie and chipped in 4 reb and 3 ast.
Didn't expect that from him.

It was awful but it allows him to fester on something and be better. Take the good, take the bad.
