Golden Eagles can be new nickname for a new chapter in Marquette basketball. Warriors won't be forgotten.

I don't event care if we're the Marquette "Cardinal" as long as MUBB keeps winning.

In all seriousness, students are very aware of the history of the Warriors, of course, but we decided to attend as Golden Eagles. Dwyane Wade and Wes Matthews are Golden Eagles. I embrace the history, and can even accept using "Warriors" on occasion, but I'm a Golden Eagle.

I am currently a Marquette student and will never call myself a Golden Eagle.  Warriors forever.  Given the opportunity to call yourself a Warrior, I don't understand why you would ever call yourself a Golden Eagle.
