1.  The athletic department is using ImageShack?  Really?
2.  That fabric looks really thin compared to the current shorts

Hard to tell from the picture, but it looks like maybe that hideous baby blue has been replaced by a darker (and more historically correct) shade of blue.

Im pretty sure they're sticking to the baby blues. It just looks darker because its on the gold.

If they do a micro design, I hope that it's something subtle. The Duke one is way over the top, but Gonzaga's isn't too bad other than that it says "Go Zags" which seems cheesy.

It is, it's more like running shorts which is apparently the appeal.

I'm attaching an article about the new Nike uniform program from the Carolina pay site that goes into more detail about the technology. It has some Carolina content (and opinions) but also includes an interview with a Nike spokesperson that's pretty good. I've also included the entire Nike article (sole collector) about their new "Hyper Elite NCAA uniforms."

After reading those two great links I'm almost positive we'll have some sort of graphic on the jersey. The question now becomes: what will ours be?

I'm going with the Marquette Hall tower they like to push lately and some sort of Al McGuire reference.

That sucks.  MU is such a uniform tease.  Their tweet seemed to indicate that unis would be revealed (like character) at noon today.  Not until media day mid Oct.

Interesting, especially since the "do uniforms help recruiting" debate has come up here before.

To me, that article indicates that designers and marketers think they play a bigger role in the college landscape than they actually do. Just about every football recruit that goes to Oregon sites their facilities as being one of the top (if not the top) reason for going there; their facilities are the best in the country, hands down.

There are any number of youtube videos of their facilities:

Undoubtedly their facilities matter.  But I think unique uniforms are part of what makes them unique.  In many ways I feel that this historically has been the same with MU basketball.  And I hope that continues.  I don't mind the graphic on the jersey, etc.

Just make them colorful and flashy.

Looks good so far.  I never liked the shoulder strap thing.

The back is probably going to be those perforated graphics that look like sweat stains, like what Duke and several others had last year.

Hopefully it is not a perforated graphic of a golden eagle.

Might piss of more alumni than they did with the MLK day game.

I wonder if the baby blues will still have a retro font, or if they will all be the same.

I hope it's a little different, I always thought that was cool.

I will admit at this point that I was completely wong about the the "Marquette" script on the front.  I didn't think that it would remain as before.

I like them.

I really hope it's something completely new and not a rehash of the dook sweat stain.  Unless of course it's Buzz's head superimposed on there.

You could dress them in clown costumes and I'd still be at every game.  A little frightened, but still cheering my team.

If you look at the full size of the photo, you can clearly see the perforation on the back.  What's that sticking up among the perforation in the middle?  Is it Marquette Hall?  Looks like it's probably Crowder's jersey in the picture.

Interesting observation, but wouldn't it look weird to have that on there and put the BE logo in the same spot? I'm not too familiar with these jerseys with the subtle-ish back design, but to me it would seem strange to have a design and then slap the BE logo directly on it.

I agree.  But whatever the graphics are, there's going to be a number and a name on it too.  Here is a photo of Duke's (you can click on it and blow it up).  Here's Kentucky with a state right at the top of the graphic.  St. John's with the BEast logo.

Edited to add Villanova.

I think that the one linked above looks like it's going to be Marquette Hall.  And this doesn't surprise me too much...they really use that image a lot.  If that's right, I wonder if there's going to be anything else in there along with that (e.g., Al, Eagle, MU, etc.).

The shoulders will take some getting used to, but overall I'm a big fan.

No "system of dress" like Syracuse or Ohio State.

If by System Of Dress, you're referring to the more form fitting jerseys, then I can tell you I asked the athletic department Twitter masterminds about that and they confirmed that the jerseys are form fitting.
