Marquette has scheduled their final non-conference game for the 2011-12 season. According to the team Facebook page, the Jacksonville Dolphins will round out the schedule. Here's a look at Jacksonville:

Last Year's RPI: 142
Three Year RPI Average: 148.7
2010-11 Record: 20-12 (13-7 Atlantic Sun)
Key Losses: G Travis Cohn, G Ayron Hardy
Key Returning Players: G Russell Powell, F Delwan Graham, G Keith McDougald

The Dolphins lose their top two scorers in Cohn and Hardy, but return everyone else, including starting point guard Russell Powell and former LSU transfer Delwan Graham, who led the team in rebounding last year. They play in a pretty tough Atlantic Sun conference where they match up with some quality teams like Belmont and East Tennessee State. The questions for them will be if they can overcome the losses of Cohn and Hardy, though with a guy like McDougald, who averaged 9.1 ppg as a freshman, that shouldn't be much of a problem (Cohn and Hardy only averaged 21.8 ppg combined), especially if highly-touted big man Keion Palmer can improve as a sophomore. If not, they should still be a safe bet to stay in the top-200 RPI. This team also knocked off the Florida Gators last year on the road, so they could prove a very stern home test for Marquette. Another success for Mike Broeker and company, great work scheduling!

On July 5th, gomarquette.com will put out the non-conference teams, dates and times each day.

Updated MUWiki. Assumed the MSM, NC, and Jack games are home.

Interesting note about Northern Colorado:

Logan Bean
Director of Basketball Operations

Logan Bean joined the Bears in August 2010 after spending the previous two seasons as a graduate manager for coach Buzz Williams and the Marquette Golden Eagles.

Prior to that, Bean spent five years as a student manager for the University of Nebraska men's basketball program, serving the last two years as head manager for current Huskers coach Doc Sadler.

In all, Bean brings with him to Greeley the experience of having been to five NCAA Division I postseasons. Nebraska qualified for the NIT three times in his five seasons in Lincoln, and Marquette advanced to the NCAA Tournament the last two years while Bean was in Milwaukee.

"I'm excited to bring in a guy like Logan who's been at two higher-level programs in Nebraska and Marquette that are run by guys who are really respected in college basketball," Northern Colorado coach B.J. Hill said. "Logan's incredibly hungry to exceed in this business, and he's going to be a great asset for Northern Colorado basketball."

Bean's duties at Northern Colorado will include much in the administrative realm, including assisting with the Bears' video needs, coordinating the student-manager staff, helping with any game day setup or management needs and helping with the day-to-day operations of Northern Colorado basketball.

"He'll be in charge of a lot of our administrative duties," Hill said. "The NCAA really regulates what someone in his position is allowed to do, but he'll help out our program immensely.

"He's going to bring a lot of new ideas to our staff and bring some different ideas on how to do things because he's seen it on a higher level than anyone else on this staff, including me. (Sadler and Williams) are guys who I really respect, and they couldn't say enough about Logan and what he meant to their programs."

Along with his in-season experience, Bean has also worked as a camp coach at Kansas State, Wichita State, Missouri State and Nebraska, providing assistance with the organization and operation of team and individual camps.

Bean graduated with a bachelor's degree in communication studies from Nebraska in 2008 and finished up his master's at Marquette this summer."

Now thats a tough, tough mirror schedule.  Should make for great TV, but wish a So. Fl, Depaul, or Prov. would have been one of them.

Toughest mirror games we've had since joining the conference.

Georgetown looks to be rebuilding a bit. Would really love to finally get one from Nova at the Pavillion for once. Would be thrilled with a split against Cincy, they are going to be a horrible matchup.

Why no updates today, on gomarquette.com? Last season, they did it on the weekend. If they are ending by Friday, I guess they will be putting out two in one day.

Yeah, I was wondering that myself, that seems really odd, because if it ends next Friday, the math doesn't add up. That's only 11 non conference games. There has to be more than that?? That means only 15 home games with the BE games?? Because we know UW is away, as is the Jimmy V Classic(Neutral). No way is that right, and I doubt too that they would be doing two a day. They never have before, and they do say they will be revealing a game a day. Makes no sense. I'm confused. ?-(

If it's only 15 home games, than I want some money back off my tickets.

Don't worry, there is a total of 31 games and 16 at the Bradley Center. Gomarquette.com, might put two games out the same day.

There is 31 total games and 13 non-league games. 16 total games at the Bradley Center.

Up next should be Dec.3 @ Wisconsin
                         Dec. 6- Washington @ MSG

Plus, MU should be at home Dec. 10 & Dec. 17.

@ LSU on Dec. 19 with Vandy, Milwaukee & Green Bay dates at the BC coming out. The last home game might be Northern Colorado.

If I had to guess, Green Bay is Dec.10, Northern Colorado is Dec.17 and Vandy is Dec. 27 or Dec. 28. Milwaukee, I have no clue were to guess.

Big East play starts Dec. 31
