Just curious as we all look ahead.............any ideas what next year's out-of-conference schedule will look like?  What Thanksgiving tournament are we playing in?   Besides going to Wisconsin, what else does the schedule look like??

Quick clarification. On the roster, Erik Williams is listed as 6'6". Is that what his real height is? Thought it was 6'8"?
I thought you were dead. Willie lives rent free in Reekers mind. Rick Pitino: "You can either complain or adapt."

Don't know 'bout Paradise, but when it comes down to Strawberry, Peach, or Apricot, I like our guys chances.

100%, looks like a pretty weak field.

Non-con thoughts...

  • UW-M: We should win this game at home
  • UW-GB: Another home win hopefully
  • LSU: They were bad this year, but should rebound. They have some really good freshman who will be sophomores and a good incoming class; I'm glad we're going down there next year, they could be an NCAA team, but almost certainly will be in 2012-13
  • Paradise Jam: We'll be the favorites. Drexel, Mississippi, and Virginia will be the next three best teams. Drexel returns 6 of their top 7 players and will be a legitimate threat. Virginia we are familiar with from pre-season practices, while Mississippi is okay but nothing special. My hope is that we see TCU in a future Big East clash to open it, then face Drexel, who could be an NCAA team, then either Ole Miss or Virginia in the final for another top 100 RPI win (crosses fingers)
  • Badgers: They're annoyingly good at home. Much will rest on if Taylor returns. With Brusewicz and Gasser, they could be decent if Taylor is running the show. If he leaves, they'll likely take a big step back. Even still, winning at the Kohl Center is never a lock
  • Vanderbilt: Terrifying opponent as they return everyone. Unless Taylor, Jenkins, or Ezeli declare early, Vandy will be an incredibly tough team to beat. Thank god we have them at home. Probably our toughest game on the schedule right now.
  • Other Non-con games: We can schedule 5 more non-con games. Here's hoping they aren't all sub-300 RPI teams. If we schedule well, we should try to get buy games of 5 teams between 125-250. Hopefully one or two win their conference and turn into decent wins. With an experienced team, there's no reason not to look for good opponents in these 5 games.

He is listed at 6-7 in the media guide.

This site is not the best. They were way late on the ball for game I posted last season.

MU could be apart of the new set up in the Big East/SEC.

MU at home Vandy, Milwaukee, Green Bay and 6 more non-conf. games. 9 total.

1. Is there a better site?
2. It's a wiki.  If you know about a game, edit the page and share your knowledge.

I'm sorry, the site is good.

I didn't know I could go in and change things on there. I'm new to this computer stuff. :-[ I had two games last year on this topic, that I was on saying were home games and nobody put them up there. Which they ended up being home games.

Agreed, not really seeing whats so terrifying. They might return all their big players but they still were upset in the 1st round. We return a heck of a lot as well and last year they only beat us by 1 pt on their home floor where they are really, really tough to beat.

It would be a great non conference win, but not a scary game.

They were ranked 25 this year. They return all their starters. That's the definition of scary.

Gee, thanks. Didnt I just get done saying how we still only lost by 1 at their place? We return a heck of a lot as well and bring in talent to boot. Go on.

Vandy will be a great game at the BC. A schools that is in the best dance it seems like every season. (I don't care what they do in the dance.)

Exactly right. They have a great big man in Festus Ezeli, one of the best scorers in the nation in John Jenkins, and a brilliant all-around player in Jeffrey Taylor that would be Buzz's dream as a switchable. In addition, they have a ton of quality bigs, Goulbourne, Tchiengang, and Odom give them a very stout frontline. Looking at hour non-con schedule, this is our most likely home loss. It will be tough to defend home court against these guys.

And that's before even mentioning their top-100 freshman backcourt...looking at their roster, they are without a doubt the most talented and dangerous team on our non-conference schedule. The only team close is Wisconsin, and only because it's at the Kohl.

I don't think they will be anymore scary than some of the teams we will have to play during BE season.
