What it comes down to is knowing you're in a potentially 5-day tournament, why on the first day with a 20 point lead are our starters playing so many minutes?  Butler, Cadougan and Crowder played more than their season average.  DJO played more.

Meanwhile, in a 21 point blowout, Jones has 5 minutes, Williams 9 and Frozena 1.  10 minutes each for those three would not have lost the game for us, and may have protected the legs of DJO, Crowder and Butler.

Let's see. A win over Providence likely means a bid. A loss probably means we're out. It's as big a game as you've played all season. We've displayed a penchant for giving up large leads quickly. And you want the starters on the bench in case we reach the third round to play what is essentially a meaningless game. Interesting...

There is, I guess, the possibility that you are too thick to get any of that, but I doubt it. More likely it's just another example of the 84 agenda/philosophy: Facts be damned, never miss an opportunity to rip Buzz. But thanks at least for keeping this particular hatchet job shorter than most of your other diatribes.

Raise your hand if you think SJS would have been here criticizing Buzz had he pulled the starters early to rest them for a yet to be earned future game, and they gave up the lead as a result. Nah. He wouldn't do that.

C'mon, Lenny. It's not like PC had given any indication that night they could quickly cut significantly into a double-digit lead.
Oh, wait ...

Anyhow, Buzz played it exactly right. Make sure you win the game you have to win, win it impressively and worry later about what might be down the road in two nights. I feel safe believing that MU players didn't develop tired legs against UL because they played a few extra minutes in garbage time two nights earlier.

Yankee, back in the day when Wes' old man played at Bridgeport, were you the dude who taught him that choke
move?

No way, that guy was way too quick to catch, let alone choke.
Calvin:  I'm a genius.  But I'm a misunderstood genius.
Hobbes:  What's misunderstood about you?
Calvin:  Nobody thinks I'm a genius.

I dunno. ESPN showed their pre-game huddle and there was plenty of energy in that circle.

who got the biscuit?

The other thing we don't have that UConn has is Kemba Walker.  He is so high energy, and the young guys feed off of that.  Either that or they are too young to know they are supposed to be tired.  Walker doesn't always have the best shooting percentage.  He forces things at times, maybe because everybody else is so young.  Having said all of that, he more than not hits clutch shots when they need him.

I know someone said Walker would go pro after this year, but they could be scary good next year if he stays.
