For a diversion - check out the meltdown on the IU boards
« on: December 22, 2010, 09:35:08 PM »
after a loss to UNI (who lost to UW-M).   some familiar themes with the tanned ones teams...

one good discussion:   http://mbd.scout.com/mb.aspx?s=170&f=2353&t=6927415

Those posts remind me of the crean years.  The indiana fans should stay tight as their Dwade may be coming soon.

You heard it here first. Davante Gardner will be a Beast this year.

After some of the weak sauce that has been posted here after losses, as well as 30 point WINS that apparently should have been 50 point wins, it is a little hypocritical to be amused by another boards'
meltdown.

Hell, why go back that far?  Read after this year's UWM game?

The funny part is much of the arguments center around the coach and his coaching...funny after a MU loss nowadays people dont seem to want to pin the loss on the coach or his coaching...sans one....

That fan base will begin to hate him more and more as his character is revealed.  Creans character will wear out his welcome every where he goes, give hime time he will do it to himself.

Does their scout site have a virus like ours or is it safe to go over there?

The drop of the ball has started early for IU.  On their boards it seems Crean is not safe.  I have offered ten bucks to the buyout.  I think they will be setting up a pay pal account after the Big Ten season ends.

I start this by saying that I do not mean to single this poster out...

Do the mods ever take new threads like this down?  Cause it does not seem like they do.  Over the past few weeks/months there are numerous times when people start new threads when the exact same thing is being discussed in detail.  I guess I really should not care but then again I wouldn't be writing this if it wasn't some what annoying.

Coach Naismith's Christmas goose is cooked.

Lost again last night to Colorado.  Most assuredly dooming them to another sub .500 season and no post season birth.

Funny funny exchange during the Butler/Fla. St. game last night where the announcers discussed young coaches can have success and then develop a "NAismith Complex"  and how Brad Stevens has avoided that.  No mention of the clown an hour south of Stevens.  Whom many refer to as Tommy Naismith for that very reason!!!    :D :D

I'm still trying to understand if he's talking about the "birth" of Jesus Christ which we celebrate tomorrow, since a tournament invitation is a berth.

I4 is proving again to be all sizzle, no steak.

And the sizzle is more like chili's fajitas than a top notch NY strip.

I'm friends with some of the moderators over there....they said it's been interesting to see how many "IU" fans are on the message boards over there the last few years with Milwaukee and Wisconsin IP addresses...most of them popping up in the last 24 months.

Most people over there get it.  They were picked 9th or 10th for a reason this year.  The troops don't start arriving until next year and the two classes beyond that.

No offense Chicos - but ironically, it seems some over here need to "get it."  MU was picked 8th or 9th in the Big East for a reason...12th in the Big East last year for a reason...and after DePaul last year we had many predicting we'd be lucky to make the NIT (yourself included), and now this year due to the way we've won the games we've won..and for losing to Duke, Zaga, and Wisconsin..we are "doomed" for the NIT.  Regardless, that's about what we should be ticketed for, right?  Considering our predicted 8th place finish?  Why some of the disbelief and outrage on your part when we only beat UWM by 2, Centenary by 29, etc??
