Yeah ESPN has him rated at 94.  Just for comparison's sake, they didn't rate DJO, Buycks was a 94, and then the next best from this year's class was Cadougan at 92.

Just looking through the rest of rival's top 150 we are on these player's lists (maybe it will change since I believe this is our last scholarship?):
13. Corey Joseph - 5 star PG
15. Terrance Jones - 5 star PF
18. Joe Jackson - 5 star PG
19. Daron Lamb - 5 star SG
27. Tobias Harris - 4 star PF
31. Vander Blue - 4 star SG (from what I hear we're pretty much out of it though)
35. Keala King - 4 star SG
42. Justin Coleman - 4 star SF
50. Dwight Powell - 4 star PF
60. James Johnson - 4 star PF
66. Rickey Scott - 4 star SG
74. Trae Golden - 4 star SG
87. Rod Odom - 4 star SF
(91. Aaron Bowen - 4 star SF)
94. Andre Stringler - 4 star PG
109. Devon Collier - 3 star PF
115. Lavonte Dority - 3 star PG
116. Shane Southwell - 3 star SF
117. Reggie Smith - 3 star PG (only lists 4 other schools)
141. Flavian Davis - 3 star SF

Interesting to see how many players list MU, even if they aren't seriously considering coming here.  All of these players had pretty long lists.  It was also interesting to see that MU and Xavier seemed to be on more lists than any other teams not named UNC (just based on a quick glance over the lists).

Dont take too much stock in those "lists"...they arent real accurate. We havent been mentioned with many of those players, for a very long time.

A great get.   Another freakishly athletic wing.    One that apparenly can defend 4 positions.   Rock on.    Better a 1-guard, 4-forward set than a 4-guard, one-forward set.    I predict we oversign by at least one.    Looking at the roster, the only think really missing is 6'9", 240 lb. Chism/mauler type.     I also see lots of pressure defense in the future.

That's what I kind of figured but it is still nice to see our names on the list and to see us get more than 1 of these guys every 3 years.  Does anyone know if they update players individually or do they go through all the players at 1 time and update them?  I remember they updated all the rankings at 1 time (Bowen went from a 2 star to a 4 star, Blue rose to #31 recruit in the nation), and then they updated Blue from having committed to UW fairly recently.

I was worried we were going to read about another "under the radar" player, but this certainly isn't the case.  Looks like another great get.  A class of Jamail Jones, Aaron Bowen, and Monterale Clark is very respectable, and Buzz probably isn't finished yet and will go over by one.  Taking it for what it is, we're going to lose Hayward and Cubillan after this season, with Jones and Bowen being their "replacements", and adding Clark to the front line with all of the young guys gaining a year of experience.  A solid plan.

Nice work Buzz & staff!  Sounds like a great get.

I agree, it wouldn't surprise me at all if Fulce goes on a medical scholarship like Liam McMorrow did if he has any additional issues with his knee.

Also with the huge class that we have this year, it wouldn't surprise me to see a transfer or two next year either.

MU snares 2010-'11 commit

Jamail Jones, a 6-foot-6 1/2-inch, 205-pound forward from Stone Mountain, Ga., has orally committed to join MU's 2010-'11 recruiting class.

Jones is the third player to commit to that class, joining guard Aaron Bowen and forward Monterale Clark. He had narrowed his list of college choices down to MU, Oklahoma, Xavier and Mississippi State before giving the nod to the Golden Eagles in a phone call to assistant coach Aki Collins earlier today.

"He was excited," said Jones of Collins' reaction.

I've now seen a couple of comments in this thread that suggest that Buzz isn't done, and that he's going to oversign by one. Its interesting that a few weeks back I said that we have to get over our squeamishness about oversigning, and the reaction was extremely negative.  Here's an example:

All he is trying to do here again is to make some fiction up that Buzz over recruited like Tom Crean.  Buzz did so because he knew he had to.  Crean did it and dealt with it later.  I agree with MU 84 many schools do it, but it doesn't make it right.

It will be interesting to see if Silky has the same reaction to SCDem, Tower912 and Chapman, who have all said they think we'll see another signing.

For the record, I have no problem with over-signing--it is exactly what successful teams have to do in order to stay successful.

2010 class is shaping up.  I would like to see a PG in the mix but I like the talent.

Nice get but couldn't he just go down to the corner big man store and get a 5 star big man?

Now doesn't seem an appropriate time for buts. But that's your choice.

Nice addition to the team.  Thought a PG would be the logical signing, but maybe the staff has seen enough of Bucyk's play that he can man the PG position at times.

It's encouraging that Buzz is following up his top 20 "anchor" class of 2009 with at least 2 top 100 players in 2010. As Murph has pointed out on multple occasions, even our more successful coaches in the past 30 years have been unable to accomplish this. Kudos to Buzz.
