Serious question.....how many, if any "insiders" post at this board, and if they do, when is the last time something big happened with MU basketball that someone here broke the story BEFORE anyone else?? I ask this not to be a jerk, I am asking because I really don't know. Having not been here as long as a lot of you have, i don't have the chance to read every thread.

Now I know the DJO commitment was essentially broken on this board first but that was by an Iowa State fan.

I believe MUWarrior87 was the first to break the news about O'Tules broken foot. I know he broke the news about someones broken foot...

4everwarriors broke the story about Buzz being named coach. I think it was the night before.

Don't know how many true insiders there are anymore, as Buzz Williams keeps recruiting extremely close to the vest.

IWB is an insider who posts on a free board at sportsbubbler.com.
Mark Miller is a respected b-ball guy who has some "insider" info who usually only posts on Scout.com's premium board.
I think BMA is the insider at MUScoop; I know I have and others will try and share premium info from rivals and the like when they get a chance.

I think that DJs return against Mizzou was broken here.  It was so remarkable that no one believed the guy who posted it.

4 ever may be the guy here.  I know a guy at Dodd's site gave the heads up that Buzz's wife was stocking up on MU gear about a week before Buzz was officially announced.

Whoops :)

This system confuses me.  At the top: "11-40 range nationally is worth eight points"

..........(8) Erik Williams, 6'7, WF, Cypress (Cypress Springs) TX; (8) Junior Cadugon, 6'0, PG, Humble (Christian Life) TX; (8) Jeronne Maymon, 6'6, PF, Madison (Memorial) WI; (8) Dwight Buycks, 6'3, 2G, Indian Hills (JC) IA; (8) Darius Johnson-Odom, 6'2, PG, Hutchinson (JC) KS

All of those guys are top 40 players?  Not that i'm complaining but I haven't seen many rankings where jc, williams and maymon are in the top 40.

We signed DJO.

Not exactly.  We were behind UNC without DJO.  When we first signed him, he was rated as a 4 point player, someone between 71-100 in HoopScoops ranking.  About 48 hours ago, Clark Francis updated the ranking to have him be an 8 point player and in the top 40.

So clearly it was the famed Marquette commitment boost.

Those guys are actually all top 25 in HoopScoop's HS ranking.  JC is #12, Williams is #14, JMay is #23.  That's the only one that has all of them in the top 40, but others have one or two.  HoopMasters for example has JC at #27 and Williams at #30.

That specific ranking is HoopScoop's composite where they group all players in the 2009 class together regardless of whether they are prep school, high school or JUCO.  So being in the top 40 there is actually better than being in the top 40 in just their HS ranking.

"Constitution?"  I thought the term of art these days was "Mission Statement."  Another generally useless exercise.

Couldn't agree more on Mission Statements.

I think members of this board have broken more than a few stories -- DJ coming back, Otule's foot, Mbawke getting rid of his redshirt, etc.

Also need a Corporate Vision too.  and a SWAT analysis.

Is anyone else surprised that a guy named SC Dem wants more government and regulation?   ;D

I don't know the man, but BMA seems to know as much as anyone else out there.  Other paid sites seem to have shifted from info to insight (ie not breaking news but giving you good analysis of it, like by Mark Miller)

That would be SWOT (strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, threats) and is something I want no part of.

I am not sure what a SWAT analysis would be, but if it involves the use of this theme song, I'm all for it.

You should get your eyes checked, I'm, pretty sure it already says "Recruiting Info".

J/K.  Too funny.  Never noticed it - surprised nobody pointed it out earlier.  BTW - I'm a terrible proof reader.  My eyes see what I think should be there, even if it isn't.

It's also spelled Constitutional not Constituitional.

This is the kind of stuff when I see it on other school's boards I think less of their instituition.

It's the Michael Scott Paper Company's mission to provide you the highest quality paper, the best possible service, at the lowest possible prices. Sound good? Just wait, there's more. This paper business is more than just paper, more than just a business, it's about establishing quality human relationships with our clients. When little Timmy wakes up in the middle of the night with whooping cough and you need someone to call, we'll be there. When sweet Christine gets stood up by her prom date, we'll be there. When the dam breaks in your back yard and the only thing that can stop the flow of water from flooding your house is a ream of paper, we'll be there. At the Michael Scott Paper Company, we'll always be there, through thick and thin, in sickness and health, till death or retirement do us part. We'll be there.
