I think we are a 7 with an outside chance at 6.  A win today maybe secures the 6, but most likely it would have had minimal impact.

I think a 6 is highly possible.  Certainly no lower than a 7.  Look at the field.  Our RPI is only going to go up over the next two and 1/2 days as Pitt, UConn, Lousville, Nova, WVU and SU slug it out and helpp increase our SOS.

I think 6 or 7 too. Who are we looking at in these tourney games that needs to lose to help us out? I'm assuming we need Syracuse and West Virginia (especially). I'd also guess having Clemson lose helped.

I'm guessing a 7, maybe an 8. They will kill us on our record without James. I doubt they will take into account that we will have played 5 top 15 teams in our last 6 games and were in 4 of them to the very end.

i've got to think a 6 at worst.  yes, we've got losses, but we just lost to Nova by 1 and but for a brain cramp on Jerel's part for the last 40 seconds, we win.  after being down 16 at half, hopefully the selection committee gives us an easy road to a game to play Nova again.

FSU? Utah? Kansas just lost to a crappy baylor team; Illinois scoredd 33 points at home in one game this year; Clemson just lost to GT...you got to be kidding me with these teams. Besides Kansas, MU would roll any of the other teams I just mentioned.

however, we seem to have gotten hosed by the committee more often than not so we are probaby deserving of a 6 but we shouldn't surprised with a 7.

Agree, 7 no higher...this team couldn't have picked a worse time to collapse.  1 for 6 since DJ's departure and a rookie coach is not going to play well at all.  

This is still a very good team, but what breaks my heart is that it was a great team capable of beating anyone in the top 10 and a threat to go deep in the tournament.  They can hang with the elite for a while, but the ability to finish has sadly evaporated.

Seriosly?

MU is 5-7 in the last 12 games
VU is 10-2 so far

MU is like a 30 in the RPI
VU is 14

VU took MU 2 out of 3 this year

VU has a better conference record than MU

MU has a star player injured
VU is healthy

VU should probably be seeded 3 or 4.  MU would be lucky to get a 6.  5 would be a miracle.  Expect a 7.

Fully expect a 7. Think we are a 6 but with the DJ injury and play down the stretch (near misses are still losses), I'm not expecting any higher.

I too think our team is as good as Nova's but the committee's criteria suggests that they get a 3-4 and we get a 6-7.  Them's the breaks.  Had we won today, the story would have been different, but not so different.  Perhaps 1 seed drop by nova and one seed gain by MU.
