They say it's 75 degrees here today, but trust me when I say it feels like 74.

Since I am a teacher, I am ok with really cold/snowy weather, a chance for no school  ;D

Just perfect here in MSP.  About 0 to -5 with about a foot to a foot and half of snow on the ground.  Going to be snowmobiling all next week for about 8 perfect days.   ;)

10, windchill 0.   Shoveling for 45 minutes makes you feel alive.    Love it.   Missing golf at the moment, however.

Jupiter, Florida has a cold front, 74 today.  High 60's tommorrow.  Then back to mid 70s for weekend.

Providence - 20 with a wind chill of 8.  On game day high 23 low 10 calm winds with an MU warm front blowing the Friars off the court late evening EST.

Most of the world is getting their ass kicked right now by the weather.  Global Warming my ass.

But yes, in So. Cal it's lovely the last few days.  The rest of the globe, not so much.

Its about 80 and sunny in The Quon. Little too humid for golf unless you're well hydrated and riding in a cart. Pardon me while I reach for another cool one. Erin said Columbus sucked last night but bent over and blew TC a kiss. She's enjoying the weather at the pool here in the tiniest bikini yet made.

Currently it's very cold in Oak Creek, WI...but on a positive note, today should be the warmest day we have all week!! So to those in Sunny Southern California....

J/K...I'd rather be in Cali!!!

You can Laugh Now Southern California, but when the water crisis hits you'll hope that you can get some water out of the great lakes region. Mostly the Great Lakes Pact will tell you to go F yourselves.

40 degrees, sunny, and I can still see the mountains from my office window.

Life is good.  ;D

I don't think we're in any worry about that happening, in fact some are saying an ice age is not far off in the future.

Brrrrr.

12 degrees here in Boston, with a windchill of about -2.

And SoCal, I will take this cold over earthquakes, fires, and riots any day.

It's funny how the news portrays that stuff.  Fortunately, I've never been affected by a fire here other than some ash on the roof.  Riots, nothing there either.  Earthquakes, that's a different story.

Now, if you would have said ten gagillion people on the freeways, gang violence, a state on the brink of bankruptcy, I'd agree with you.   ;D

It's down to 52 now but today was one of those perfect days with clear skies and no hurricane in the Gulf. No snowmobiling yet.

Does anyone think that theres a chance that classes will be canceled tomorrow? Because I'm banking on that....

nope. having been here two years ago when we had -30 temps w/ windchill and we were told to bundle up. and if you're banking on it, then class definitely won't be canceled. Just glad I don't have any Tuesday or Thursday classes so I'm not venturing out tomorrow either way!  ;D

As a NorCal-er, this 70 degree weather really is messing me up.

#1 - It doesn't feel like winter when I can wear shorts.
#2 - It doesn't help to have 70 days and high 30s/low 40s nights.
#3 - It's wreaking havoc on my sinuses!!!

MU B2002

In regards to this cold weather issue, I have a question.

Today while driving to work and listening to the weather forcast on the radio... The weatherman said it was 13 degrees and tonight would get down to an unseasonably low 2 degrees.  Here is my question, Why is it unseasonably cold?  Is it not winter, and isn't this the season you would expect it to be cold.

Oh well, I just get sick of hearing the weather people use that word in the winter and summer to describe cold and hot temperatures.  But perhaps I'm the one who doesn't understand the meaning.

Sorry for the rant, now back to your weather/state economy discussion.

Oh, and its 13 degrees in Nashville.

I hear its -40 with the windchill here... but my thermometer doesn't go down that low...

For what it's worth, it was even nicer in SoCal today.  Moonroof open, windows down, AC on, not a cloud in the sky.

ATWizJr

I'm guessing that when a day is unseasonably hot or cold it means that the temp is higher or lower than the historic average high or low temp for that day.
