Don't worry guys.  I am sporting my lucky Marquette socks tonight. They are 3-0 this year when I wear them. I am owning the loss to Providence. They were dirty and I didn't put on my big boy pants and wear them anyway.

I would purposefully play a little looser on Rasheem Dun when he is in the game and try to force St. John's to put the ball in his hands. The couple times I have seen Dunn play he tends to attack the rim with reckless abandon and no clear plan. I think John and Johnson could eat him alive if we can tempt him in.

Ahem

Rasheem Dunn 4/15 from the floor. Pretty sure he accounted for 4 or 5 of Marquette's 10 blocks.

I do know, Newsie is right on you knowing ball.

No foul trouble for Markus. He passed Christian Laettner on the all-time scoring list and just missed passing Danny Ainge.

MU dictated the pace tonight, solid play from Koby McEwen and Jayce Johnson.

All in all, a nice way to finish off Al's Night at the Fabulous Forum.

Go Warriors!

Glad it is over, they are a pesky team and I hate playing these guys.  On to Butler
"I hate everything about this job except the games, Everything. I don't even get affected anymore by the winning, by the ratings, those things. The trouble is, it will sound like an excuse because we've never won the national championship, but winning just isn't all that important to me." Al McGuire

Marquette has had difficulty playing against them dating back to the buzz years so it's a good win. They always have trouble with their aggressiveness.

They definitely sped Marquette up a bit tonight and made it ugly. The pace of the game may have been just enough to affect Marquettes 3pt shooting. If even a third of those missed threes go in, the game would have been a true blowout.

Who will no doubt whine about it when it happens.
Have some patience, FFS.
