I have to think Al never had to ask for noise

Yet ironically the majority of people who sit on their hands the whole game are Al era alums. 🤔

Who probably complained, the entire time they were students, about the lame sweater vests and their good seats!

Yes, we did complain about the ones sitting.  It was always loud enough that my ears rang for hours after every game, however.

Its probably from all of that hippie rock music

I've heard of walking to school uphill both ways and walking through 10 feet of snow, but I've never heard "we yelled so loud our ears rang the rest of the day". And I'm approaching 50.

Al got booed off the floor in his final home game

If Wojo starts asking/yelling for "Cotton Eyed Joe" to be played, I'll start to get worried....

Same section.  Felt the same way.

But my wife was breastfeeding most of the second half, so she didn't mind that the first few rows in front of her weren't standing.

Ha, that's great.

But it's important to note that he didn't have to ask the fans to boo.

I was there and my take is the refs were the ones getting booed.

Don't see why it would be bad for Wojo to ask for noise....

Can't believe we're living in the land of F 452/1984/Animal Farm/Brave New World/Handmaid's Tale. When travel to Mars begins, expect Starship Troopers

Final home game my senior year and you are 100% correct! Wichita State beat us 75-64 and the booing was directed at the officials as Al screamed at them.

I have no idea how or why folks continue to say Al was booed off any court. It is beyond laughable.

I bet they were the loudest damn boos anyone has heard to this day

We R Final Four

We were in the top row of 223, and our section was pretty, but not one hundred percent, full.
I was up and down during the game, but I am superstitious, and if I stand at the end with the game in the balance, bad things always happen lol. Sitting it can go either way. I  tried kind of half-standing, half-sitting this time (leaning on the armrest, basically) with 12 seconds left but bad things happened, so I sat back down. So you see I brought home the win..

Highly recommend you watch next game standing on your head.

Another great article post game from the Athletic....Mentions Wojo asking for help from the crowd....again....I strongly recommend trying the Athletic on a free trial if you can......

my wife and I were also in 210! first row seats 1 and 2... there were so many times I wanted to stand but I'd look out of the corner of my eye and seeing people behind me sitting whose view didn't want to block.

my compromise ended up being jumping up for big buckets and defensive player, then quickly sitting back down. it's times like these i was sad I can't get in the student section anymore.

warriorchick

We are in section 208, and while we usually try to be respectful to the people directly behind us who don't necessarily want to stand...

Yesterday was National Marquette Day, and we were playing the defending National Champs and the current leader in the Big East standings, so eff them if they are mad that we stood up and made a lot of noise!
Have some patience, FFS.
